    Dad

God bless you and your Family Garth, great story that is something you and your father will cherish forever. I lost my dad at 54 years old on May 20th 2001 and I still miss him every single day.

    Deer opener = Dove opener

Desertbull those guys were from los angeles and that is the only way they know how to shoot, drive by, and if its flying they use the hydraulics. The archery season always seemed like it opened in august, right, and the dove opener has always been the first of september, either way you look at it I think most dove hunters are going to hunt tanks that they can get to in their vehicles, I don't know of many that hike to far to shoot dove, so if your tank or water hole is off the beaten path you probably won't see any dove hunters and the deer might be more inclined to use a tank that is a little more remote which is better for us I think.

    Online Big game apps.

Anytime there is a last minute change there is going to be controversy, they could have a very valid reason, but the perception is all wrong. Desertbull I think Lark only wears that stuff at work.

    Online Big game apps.

It would like to know the reasoning behind it, unless there was a server failure it just doesn't add up unless they did not have as many apps as they thought they should, and why can't someone with a paper app now say that they should have an extra day too.

    Online Big game apps.

I just seen that the online application process has been extended until june 14th, is this a quota issue or was there a server crash.

    Deer opener = Dove opener

. Presenter: Leonard L. Ordway, Game Branch Chief. Consideration of Proposed Commission Orders: 19, 20 and 24 for the 2006-2007 Hunting Season. The Commission will consider and may vote to approve Commission Order 19 (dove), Commission Order 20 (band-tailed pigeons), and Commission Order 24 (sandhill cranes) establishing seasons and season dates, bag and possession limits, and open-closed areas. A detailed description of all proposals is available for public review at all Department offices. Does any one have the detailed description of the proposals, it might be a good thing to look at otherwise some of us may go to the meeting and find out we are wrong, but that might be a good thing and at least we would be there for any other changes that they want to make. Also did you read that online apps are extended until june 14th, is that to meet a quota or did a server crash.

    Deer opener = Dove opener

I think they are establishing the dove season dates at the next commission meeting, I will check, but we have something else to bring up.

    Deer opener = Dove opener

The longer dove go without being cleaned affects the taste, a lot of guys shoot all morning and then clean the birds and if you do that the more gamey it will taste. Freeze them in beer and salt or marinate with italian dressing overnight and it will change the taste, but if you like them the way they are just season flour and fry or barbecue.

    blowing my own horn

    Congrats to you Bill.
  11. Josh the ABA and their survey worked and helped us all out, and they were there to support the ADA at the commission meeting also, I am pretty sure it was their rep that was up there when the chairman scolded another commissioner about the survey, it was all for naught but they tried to help.

    peta ammo

http://www.coueswhitetail.com/cerreta_pics...from-behind.jpg If that is what you are looking at it is very hard to tell, it almost looks like the top of one of the stalks has something on it, when you zoom in it distorts it so I don't know. As far as peta goes if this was a wounded deer and it wasn't recovered it looks awful healthy to me and appears to be doing just fine.

    Were is hunting going next

I think this is garbage, and yes the peta folks would back it if they would stop killing the animals and then it would be a lot easier for them to stop them from drugging animals than it would be in killing them. Most states or maybe all states use hunting as a means to reduce deer herds and keep them at managable numbers, what is the reason for this, it would have to take place entirely on private deer herds that are managed by the farms and have no state game and fish involvement. On top of everything else what if the drugs kill the deer or the tip of that arrow doesn't stop as it should and injures the deer badly, oops were sorry, or are they going to have that no animals were harmed during the filming of this movie disclaimer. No matter how you look at this it is not a good thing for hunter or the hunting public. My .02 cents
  14. Congrats to you and your son Dodger2, I hope you guys had a great time. I took my 6 year old and his 5 year old cousin fishing at ashurst for the day and had a great time. My boy and his pet northern on the bottom.

  16. The Guys' Rules??????????????????? At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down Finally, the guys' side of the story. (I must admit, it's pretty good.) We always hear "the rules" From the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Please note.. these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE! 1. Men are NOT mind readers. 1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down. 1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be. 1. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way. 1. Crying is blackmail. 1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it! 1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question. 1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for. 1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a Problem. See a doctor. 1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 Days. 1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't Expect us to act like soap opera guys. 1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us. 1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one . 1. You can either ask us to do something Or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself. 1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials. 1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we. 1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is. 1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that. 1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle. 1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear. 1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...Really. 1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation, or golf. 1. You have enough clothes. 1. You have too many shoes. 1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape! 1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight; But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.
  17. I guess because rain and clouds are rare in AZ compared to other states I appreciate it much more. This pic was from my front door.
