    HUGE Elk

I think it is a great set of horns, what gets me is that some people shoot these animals and act like they have done something great when in all reality they just shot a pet. If a rancher sold me cow and said I had to shoot it and I could have it, I would do it, I wouldn't take a bunch of pictures and act like I hunted and killed the cow, all it would be is that I just bought fresh beef, these guys just bought fresh elk, and they probably way overpayed for it because of the antlers, you can only hope that the meat wasn't wasted.

    Your First Rifle?

Aside from quite a few bb guns my first rifle was a Remington 700 adl 243, I got it for Christmas in 83, my dad bought it from my uncle and gave it to me as a present. It was the first rifle in my home since my dad’s guns were stolen in the early 70s. He only had like three at the time and didn’t use them much that I remember, but as a kid you usually remember when your dad tells you that you will have these one day, I was told they would be mine from since I can remember until they were stolen. The two I remember most were an octave barreled 30/30 (I think) and a 30/40 krag the other was a 22. Kind of a funny thing about my dad and his guns he bought new shotguns, but never replaced his rifles, when I was 20 I helped my uncle start his business in TN and came back here a couple of days before fathers day, on fathers day me and my dad were at wal-mart I think and I was looking at guns, I asked him what he thought would be a good all around gun for me, he checked a couple and said he liked a savage 30-06, I bought it, when we got home I gave it to him and told him happy fathers day, it was his first rifle since his were stolen.

!!! YOU GUYS HAVE TO SEE THIS !!!

Here is what you do, I know a lot of us carry enough in our packs to stay out for at least one night and if you see them you can carry any extras you need before you take off, you walk them as far out as you can go get them real mixed up, if they have a compass or a gps it might not work as good, but if you keep them out till dark it will still be a rough walk back for them, most of them are probably only prepared for a few hours, turn it around on them make them stay out all day and all night if possible. I have read of someone doing this to someone that tried following him and the guy that followed actually asked if he could sleep next to the hunters fire that night, as I remember it he ran the guy off in the dark. If that stuff doesn't work maybe we show up at the humane society or at their meetings and beat pots and pans together, they would call the cops in a heartbeat, these people are crazy and think that their way is the only way to live, they want everyone to be vegetarian clones, no personalities and no opinions, everyone exactly the same and equal except for them.

    The .223

The military likes the .223 because it wounds people, they might not admit that, but when you wound someone it takes away two or three guys if they have to help the one, that is what I was told.
