Saw a young 2 point chasing does, thrashing a paloverde, and lip curling last night and a nice buck today cruising alone and all "swoll-up" near Mammoth. I think it's close.

Nice, unique buck. Very cool.

Any suggestions on hunting these critters???
BruinPoint replied to catfish campbell's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Never hunted them but i have eaten crane a couple times. It lived up to the hype both times. -
Nice work. Weather or no weather, you did better than most.

I have a bunch of 7mm 150s I don't plan on using. Send me a PM and in the meantime I'll dig them out to see how many I have and what I paid.

Payment via PayPal gift, PayPal + 3%, or personal check are fine. I can text or email pics, and I'll try to upload them here later when I'm on another computer. 1 - Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 Binoculars. Any updates? Made a last minute decision to make the trek down - haven't decided whether to go after muleys or Coues yet. The places I know generally are one or the other so I guess I need to choose before Wednesday.

Rut Hunting Coues Deer Podcast Episode with Gino Wulkotte
BruinPoint replied to Jay Scott's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Jay - Did something change on your podcast website? I used to download the podcasts to my phone to listen while I work out but now when I click "download" it just takes me to the Pod Bean site and I can only stream. Maybe I'm missing something, but it worked before. -
I don't know of a service like that but there are several sources that break down unit details and draw statistics. Since you don't have the time to research your best bet might be to come up with a list of expectations (hopes) and post on the various forums and see what feedback you get. That should at least narrow it down after you sift out the BS you're likely to get. As you say, there are many choices of units and seasons. PM me if you want and I'll try to help.

Can you get a pic of the smudge?
