    12ga over under 12/12

I don't know any details, selling for a friend... Please email wsikkx@yahoo.com with any questions. $750 or trade??? Stole this post from another site while researching the gun: I own three Valmet 412's, and wish I owned more. If it says Valmet 412ST it is an original gun made in Finland and it is a goodie. What you have is not a "poor man's Krieghoff", but I would like to say "a tightwad's Krieghoff". They are target guns. They last hundreds of thousands of rounds. They have no faults, no problems of any kind I've ever heard of. The reason they look so much like Krieghoffs is because the Krieghoffs didn't get ALL the Remington Model 32 tooling after WWII. Valmet got some. For years, Valmet made cheap but well made versions of the 32 for field use, but with the 412 they got serious. The 412 is essentially a Finnish made Model 32 or a Krieghoff, which is essentially a very well made German Model 32. 412's are so accurately made the barrel of one fits any other one. This is true. Same goes for all the stocks and all the foreends. The 412 "S" means it's a later and slightly better model, and your 412 ST means it's the absolutely top dog target model with a cute locking safety for range work, better internals for trigger pulls, wide trigger, and usually better wood. You can take the basic 412 receiver and buy any old set of of 412 barrels you want, even double rifle barrels, and they'll just fit right up. And, they made field stocks, skeet stocks, field forends, in all different configurations, all of which just bolt up with no fitting. Jeff's Oufitters has nice stainless steel long choke tubes for sale. The sad news for Valmet was that the guns were renamed Tikka, which were still Finnish made, but the market would not bear the higher price than Ruger/Citori/Beretta, and after calling them Tikka 512's, they sold out to some outfit in Italy which made a cheapened version called Finnewerke, in Italy, and I think they finally died, or they are very sick if they live at all. You have the best one. Read more: http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=97264&highlight=tikka#ixzz1Dn45YtgE
