found near warm spring area yes, i've found a couple of sets off this bull now, older bull past his prime, this set is about 350 or so. "Aoo' Dish Neh" doesn't mean anything, just a slang word me and my buddies made up back in the Tucson days, "aoo'" means 'YES' tho. DAN

Went out to stick a deer yesterday but all the ones i seen had little ones with them and the bucks i did see were too far off to put a stalk on, especially with the 5 o'clock sundown time, anyways i did happen across this nice set of elk antlers though, these things just can't seem to stay away from me! haha, i had fun as always. ATL shot. DAN

Beautiful coues deer for sure, congrats and what a great buck Travis, or should i say ANOTHER great buck, Travis is living proof that no one Unit on the San Carlos is better than the next as he has taken multiple big bucks in different units, once again congrats on the deer and also getting it done with limited time to spare! San Carlos 2011-2012 Tag Sale
Apache7mm replied to Apache7mm's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
ALL 2011-2012 tags go on sale Saturday, that includes trapping licenses, etc., all dates should be the same as this last hunting year, just moved to the new calendar, no increases in number of tags for any hunt, and no other price increases besides the Coues Deer. DAN -
Tags go on sale this Saturday, JANUARY 15, 2011 at 8:00am here at the San Carlos Rec & Wildlife Dept., good luck to everyone trying to get a tag. Also there has been a price increase on the Coues Deer tags, which was eventually bound to happen with the demand, NOVEMBER tags have gone up to $1,200.00 and JANUARY tags have gone up to $2,000.00 DAN

San Carlos definately has a lot of Tribal bull elk every year that don't get entered for sure, most of the guys/gals are unfamiliar with the scoring system or just don't know what they've got because they see so many big elk on a regular basis, its the same for Tribal coues deer as well, we encourage potential qualifiers to submit entries at the checkpoint though and beyond that its out of our control, but i'm sure its pretty much the same almost anywhere else as well, best place to find New Worlds Records are not in the mtns but in someones garage, shack, storage, or dried up on a rooftop. I think its part Antelope too, awesome. DAN
