Post the pics!! -
The last one looks like a mulie and he has got something weird going on on his left side. Looks like you have a great reason to call in sick on the 24th. Good Luck!

My aunt wants to buy a Browning semi-automatic Short-trac in .243. We have looked here in Tucson with no luck, only 30-06 and .300 mags. Ordering does not seem like an option because the local dealers are quoting around 90 days to get one in. My uncle want to see about getting one here in town or at least in AZ before ordering online. Thanks a lot boys and girls.

%$&^#$% Camera Thief
More D replied to Big Browns's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Sorry to hear about you camera.....THAT SUCKS!!! I am with KGaines on this one. I too would hate to lose a day or even part looking for some loser lowlife than for your deer. I say post the thieves pic so maybe we can help you identify him while the iron is still hot. That way you can go the WM this a pic in hand and some sort of ID on the loser that way he might be more active in trying to do something about catching him. I can imagine that WM's are quite busy on opening morning, lets try am give a hand! I do not own any trail cameras but I HATE hearing that they keep getting stolen especially from members of the great site. As a group we can be pro-active about this repeated problem find the culprits and spread the word among the lowlifes that if you steal a camera the you pic will be taken and you get busted. -
I will add one more because I am so happy with it. It is a CVA Kodiac PRO branded as a Winchester Apex. I put See tru-mounts and a Bushnell 3200 3x9-40. Working up an accurate load did take quite a bit work but I think in the end it was worth it. I am shooting Barnes 300grn Expanders(I call it 'the copper trash can') atop of 120grns of loose 777. I am getting 3 inch groups at 200 yards. Three inches high @ 100 and 3 inches low @ 200 yards. Good luck and what ever you get make sure you put in plenty of range time before the hunt.

The rifle: Ruger Mini-30, blued. The problem: Barrel is very dirty even after a 'regular' cleaning, it maybe pitted and/or badly rusted. Two months after it was loaned out it was taken out of the safe and checked. It was so dirty that the action was stuck in the closed postion. The reason: He let some 'family' member(NOT ME) borrow the rifle under two conditions. 1st Clean the rifle before returning it. 2nd DO NOT shoot Russian or Chinese ammo. They did neither. My uncle is complaining that accuracy has gone down the tubes. I did try and explain that the Mini-30 is not known for accuracy, but he says that you can't even hit the dirt now if you tried. He asked me to ask all of you experts if a re-barrel is feasible. I am guessing it will be very costly. Looks like maybe Ruger might be the only source for a barrel. Any one have any other sources? I plan on giving it a good cleaning with a stainless steel brush and a quality slovent before anything drastic is done.

Any one know what the fire restrictions are up north?
More D posted a topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
We will be heading up to 6A just off Lake Mary Rd this weekend and I don't know what the fire resrtictions are. I can guess that camp fires are not allowed, even if they were we probably would not out of fear of a fire. Are Coleman stoves ok? Small gas grills ect? For those who want to know I DID NOT draw a Elk nor did my wife. BUT out of the hunting party of 15 THEY drew 5 SMOKE POLE BULL tags (same hunt) and one COW SMOKE POLE TAG, all applied seperatly. Huge luck, just not ours. -
I know exactly what you mean AZ Guide !!

That is a wonderful story! Thank You for sharing. Happy fathers day to all!

I got one. Maybe it is simple but................Why can't I use a regular plug in 110 alarmclock in my TT while dry camping. It will not work with out the generator running. Shouldn't the inverter/carger/converter thing convert the 12V from my battery's to 110 so I can use it.????

kphunter. You would be comparing two different tools to that can do the same job but do it differently. The new smaller Hondas and Yamahas are different than the jobsite style generators The 8500watt is loud! My uncle took off the toddler shoe box sized original muffler and replaced it with 2 small automotive style mufflers, it did get quieter but it is still is loud. I bet the 3500-4500 Troybuilt generators would be quieter though. My uncles 8500 runs at full speed or full rpms regardless if it has a load or not. That =loud and gas sucker too. The newer small Hondas and Yamahas are not generators but inverters. They have a throttle control that increases rpms as you need them. They sip gas. My Honda 2000 will run for 15 hours with no load and 4-5 with ½ load on 0.9 gallon of gas! Cool thread!

I know how you feel. I looked for a long time at the generators and I finally bit the bullet and bought the Honda 2000. I was 'forced' into the Honda because our tow vehicle is not a truck and a regular generator was to heavy to load and unload and would have taken up to much space in to back of my wifes Armada. The $1099.99+tax price for the Honda 2000 is very steep but there are online stores that will sell you one shipped for around $900.00. I found a local Honda dealer that matched that price OTD. I would look into the Troybuilt line at Lowes. My uncle has the 8500 watt that he uses for hunting and work that has give him zero problems after 3 years. They also sell a 3500 watt for around $529 I think. That is the one I would have bought if not for the issues I had. Good thing you don't care noise because they are noisy and they run at 100% all the time. I was in your same boat last year, good luck!

This was on that web cite......FUNNY!! Joke of the Week Submitted by Eric L.. - GA. 3 plastic surgeons were sitting at a bar and the first one said: "A guy got hit by a truck and lost his legs. I sewed them back on and he won a marathon. So the 2nd plastic surgeon says " Oh yeah? Well a guy got his hands cut off and I put them back on and he became a famous concert pianist." Then the 3rd plastic surgeon says " Oh yeah? Well a horse got hit by a train and all that was left was it's rear end and some blonde hair and I performed surgery and now she's a senator from New York!!"
