During a hunt in 36C 4-5 years ago I dropped my uncle off at a spot for an afternoon hunt. He walked back to camp, about 2 miles worth. When he arrived at camp he did not have his revolver with him. He was so angry with him self because his wife had just bought it for him 3 weeks before as a birthday present. He did not want to go look for it during the hunt because he firgured it was lost for ever. Once back at home he called the Sherrifs dept and filed a report out of fear that some one (a walker) would find it a do something illegal with it. Two months later we finally convinced him to go look for it, about 7 family members in all went. It was found within the hour about 100 yards from where I dropped off my uncle but in the opposite direction in which he walked. Weird . Even weirder was that the revolver was empty, no bullets, not even empty cases ??? Who ever found it took the rounds out of it and tossed it. We never could figure out why or what happened during the 2 months it was lost.

Craigslist is the place. I found a set of take offs from a RZR new for $100 last year. They are out there but they go quick. The up side is that a front from a Polaris quad will even work.

If the Kimber was a Pro I would be all over it. I will ask my bro-in-law about the Ruger. Good luck with the sale(s)

I went on my first hunt at age 13 (no tag) and I knew it was for me except my father was not into hunting. He love to go shooting and camping, just not hunting. My uncle who is now like my father figure has hunted for 20-25 years all in AZ. He took me and my new wife at the time hunting 13 years ago after 3 years of applying. I finally drew a 32 mulie tag. It was a very good year for our hunting party, we filled 4of 5 tags. My wife was the only unlucky one but not for lack of oppertunities (big time buck fever!!) My deer was a beautifule big fork that seemed to weigh 250lbs by the time we got him back to camp. I took my mulie on the first morning and when I started to skin him back at camp I had a genuine heartfelt disappointment........ that my hunt was over!! When I told my uncle he said "Now you are hooked for life mijo"......he was right. Best part of all is that my daughter ,6, and wife love hunting and the outdoors just as much as I do. Just last week while driving her to school out of nowhere my daughter askes from the back of the car "Dad, when are we going hunting?" I love my life......

Wish you a wonderfull 73rd birthday!!!

Wow... The thick timber explains how he got so big but I wonder how he got around all the trees and brush with that big arse head gear. very impressive for sure..

Pressure?? Remember it's fun. Any day out hunting is better than most. To boot you have a great tag.

I tried it and it made my shots place differently on paper. Not smaller just differently. pre- my shots would stack one on top of the other from bottom to top. post- the shots clover leaf. Again groups measure the same all other this being equal. Work I don't know but it did something. -
Great pictures!! It is nice to see the tines and how sharp they start out. thanks for letting us see!

Love the non-typ about him!!! Good luck on finding him. Body wise he is a fish. -
The bull I took a couple of years ago had 3 bullets in him. 3. 1 in each front shoulder and the third in the back 'knee'. The front shoulders hits didn't even get to the bone and had a thin looking jacket, I suspect the were from the same shooter/bullet. The back knee bullet disentergratted(sp, ouch) and broke the joint. It did heal over but the knee joint fused and was the size of a softball. When I saw him walking he never missed a beat. When i hit him just behind the shoulder he just stopped walking and did not even budge. I like to guess that he was thinking "Damit, not again!" They are tough SOB's

The deal is it looks like I can get a '08 and '06 F250 both for a good price. I am wondering about the new 6.4 compared to the 'old' 6.0. I don't know diddly about either one but I have heard rumors that the new 6.4 is getting terrible MPG, like LOW teens in the city. Can any tell me about there experiences?? MPG, Issues, etc... Thanks It funny, when ever I have a question about stuff I don't know(which happens alot) think of the CWT.com family !

When you gain 20-25lbs in the off season and when they quickly come off when it 'starts to cool off' aka hunting season................... -
Thanks to all for the replys!! I ended up with the '08 4x4. I was not against the '06 but it was a 2wd. I am very happy so far! I got 21+ on the highway an now with the city driving I ended up just over 18mpg. Our 'o5 Armada with 52k gave me 16mpg average. I just can't wait to tow our 26ft TT (7900lb loaded) I am sure it will be a huge difference pulling and mileage wise as well. Again thanks a ton to all!!

Wildfire Burning SW Of Tucson 06-12-2009 5:21 AM (Baboquivari Mountains, AZ) -- A wildfire is burning about 60 miles southwest of Tucson. It's being reported the blaze started Thursday afternoon in the Baboquivari Mountains which are located in the area near Elk Horn Ranch and Kitt Peak. The fire is about 40 acres big and is apparently burning in an area and direction which is not threatening people or buildings.

The 108 looks like a dropper on the left main beam. Very nice! Most guy hunt there whole lives for something like that.

i was in your shoes in May of last year. i did go with the Ranger. I have nothing to compare to but I have never regreated it. As said before for work and hunting I would say Ranger. If you do the 'dune' thing then Rhino. I my resurch the older Rangers had some issues. All of them have bee cleared up from 2008 and on. There was a style change for '09 which ment great deals to be had on the remaining '08's. It is a great tool that is also a lot of fun for the family too.

Scotty I went with 777 loose only because I was determined to find the most accurate load for my muzzle loader. Loose powder lets you try charges other than 50 or 30 grain increments. I did find that 300gr Barnes Expander over 120gr of 777 gave me the best result. Three inch group at 200 yards and +3 at 100, -3.5 at 200 yards. Muzzle loaders, at least mine, are very finicky. The 285gr pointed hollow point from Barnes would shoot +5 inches at 100 yards even though the bullet only weighed 15grns less, it did have a different sabot though. Finding the right comb for my rifle only took 10 trips to the range with some 19 different charge/bullet combos. Have fun!!
