My ranger i affectionately call "my mulita" battery has died. I have a battery tender jr. on it but.......I guess it is her way of telling me I have to take her out more often. This one was a AGM type and it did last 4-5 years. Anyone know where i can pick up another at a good price etc

what ever you get make sure it is an EZ-UP brand. My father in law bought 4 off brands because they were on clearance at a really good price but they were also really bad. It took 4 people 10 min to put up and ever 3rd time something broke. Now he is down to one Frankenstein canopy that is just a mess! You will not regret it! More D

I am curious how she shoots at 200 yards…..?? some of the larger i.e. ¾ inch might settle in at longer ranges.

Who hunts coues with a 30-06
More D replied to ultramag's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
My comments will mirror all the others. Use it! My ‘’only’’ hunting rifle is a Winchester 30-06 than just loves 150grn bullets. Cor-loc’s, PP or home rolled. It will shoot m.o.a or better as long as it is nothing heavier than 150’s. My longest shot was at a quartering away mulie at 406 yards. I have had the ok to buy another rifle from the boss but there is nothing my walmart bought Winchester cannot do so…… I have no plans on messing with her. I get an itch every so often when I see everyones rifles all dressed up fresh from ‘the smith’ but I am afraid I will lose what this rifle still does fresh from the box some 15 years ago. More D -
Stickflicker- you are right I should have applied over the mail last week to save us the emotional turmoil. The laundry list of excuses is long: Last week I made the transition from the office to home. I had from 5-16 family members at any given time visiting (read: staying overnight) for the last 15 days up until yesterday. I love family but…. My pool filter sprung a big leak. So my pool is slowly turning green by the minuet. After $1k last year to get it swimmable, I did not want to repeat it. Etc, etc… I feel much better now because my daughter has shown me what it important and that focusing on the negative does not do any good. I wish I could have started hunting at my daughters age….

Which 7.62x54R should I stick with?
More D replied to Scooter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
IMO the velocity has nothing to do with the different point of impact at 100yrds. The rifle just hits differently with the different ammo. I would suggest verifying where the each load hits at 200 or whatever your max personal range. If a difference in velocity exists it will be seen at range much more so than 100 yards. My Winchester 30-06 does the same thing when switching from 150grn ammo to anything heavier regardless if factory or homemade. The pattern shifts and grows dramatically. The rifle is talking…..you just have to listen! Kudos to you for trying a unique caliber and rolling your own ammo. Personally I would use the ammo you made opposed to factory stuff. If you are lucky enough to tag a WT you will be all the more proud -
No takers?

My truck is bone stock except for the tires, batteries, driver door speakers and alarm. I kept reading about issues when modded with out fuel savings so I saved my money. I do wish I would have put more into the sound system though. I will definitely on my new truck!

The key with Javies is in the field care. You CANNOT do the field care like deer, elk etc. If done correctly it is better than pork! As with most game meat it has less fat which equals healthier but more challenging to cook. Chef. I bet that cooked "en el oyo" would be the best.
