My Favorite mother-in-law, as I joking refer to her, who is 80yo had a fall. She now has a spinal fracture. Her age and health status will not allow for surgical repair so her only option is complete bed rest for a minimum of 30 days. We would be forever grateful if anyone had any sort of medical equipment i.e. hospital type bed, chucks pads, etc, etc. Please let me know! Thanks in advance.... More D

Just about any 2x7 or 3x9 would be just fine. High magnification scopes are not necessary. Don't get caught up in shooting too far. With muzzle loaders you might be able to hit far with it but they do not carry the energy like center fires.

I would avoid that "club" There are probably quality issues with staff in coupons have to be issued.

I have seen him, or another very similar, right off FS3 more than a few times. He knows the seasons and more importantly that I do not have a tag.

Key things you've learned about hunting coues deer in Dec/Jan
More D replied to leilacl's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
great tips here.... every time I have ever gone out hunting/scouting i have learned something.....even if that "something" seems very minor at the time it can pay big dividends in later hunts. invest time/energy/money in getting out there. it is very rewarding on so many levels. I have been out with others who say..."you are really good at this!" in reality I have just done it before many, many, many times. they also have not seen when things do not work out. also do not take a failed stalk or missed shot as a failure but as a learning opportunity. hunting, coues specifically, has a way of humbling even the best of hunters. so use previous opportunities as indicators on what you need to focus your practice sessions on. this path you seek is a difficult one but it will be very rewarding once you have accomplished your goal. -
Loose is better by far.

Second the Discount price matching. Michelin`s, Toyo and many other brand seem to be price controlled. I recommend building a relationship with a tire dealer. Having a good one will do more than just save you a few bucks.

This was one of those firearm sales that one regrets immediately after driving away from making the deal. I have always said that these toys are for selling when the finances dictate but this one already hurts.

This is the second of a bunch of shotguns I had to buy to get my uncles, my father figure, 12g. I was hoping to keep this one as well because it has been in the family for 20+ years but finances will not cooperate. It has honest ware but no rust. It is in great shape, very clean and zero function issues. Shoots 2 3/4 and 3inch shells. MOD barrel. $250 I am in Tucson. Disclosure: It is on sale on backpage but I would greatly prefer if someone here in the cwt family could give it a good home and get it out chasing birds again.

I got a traffic violation. Now I need to go to traffic school. Recommendations?
More D posted a topic in The Campfire
I have not had a ticket in more than a decade. I did not fully stop at a light and a state trooper got me. I fully understand that I am in the wrong 100% but no warning, stern talking to or nothing. Any recommendations on traffic school? I looked online and it runs $220+! -

Thanks for the information. It sounds like $200+ is the norm. I thought I was doing something wrong when I saw the price. Like I said it has been a long time since I had a ticket. -
I am on pack rat number 11 so far with traps and my rescue dog. She is a hunter! I bet she lived on them before we picked her up. She traps one in a corner and she will not move away. Not even to eat or drink. She is a bad b!tc......

Now you have to show us that beauty!

One year my uncle took a cow opening morning. Over night temperature was 17 and the high was 35. We gutted the cow within 15min of the shot. We figured that because of the cold temperatures we could leave the coat on. That cow hung over night again with the low of 16 degrees. It seemed that every hunter who saw that cow hanging would stop and suggest getting the hide off. We figured they knew something we did not. As we worked on getting the hide off it was still warm between the hide and meat! Even after 24hrs of being gutted, hanging in 16 to 35 degree temperatures. Now the meat is on ice in vacuum bags within 2hours of it falling. We do not risk losing any meat. We also do not Archery hunt because of the issues mentioned here. That is my excuse anyway. I am certain that I do not have the skills to take any game with archery.
