Indeed you do have it down. For me ATV is not family friendly. I am fortunate that my family hunts with me. If they did not I would probably have a mid size 300-400cc 4x4 Honda or the like. They are like goats in the rough and easy to put in the bed of a truck. UTV is it for me but you are spot on on the pros vs cons. Small beater SUV would be a PIA to tow up to the hunting grounds. The trailer required to do the may cost as much as the SUV. Driving it to the hunting grounds would be like painful... comfort and ride wise. For the record do not have any at the moment. I have had the ATV and a UTV. The next one I get will be a UTV.

That is THE shotgun right there!

Your truck is just tired is all. Bigger tires only hurt. Larger rotating mass only hurts when you get started and to stop. I had a 2002 F150 reg cab stepside. Only options were 4x4, a/c, 5.4, automatic transmission. It had 250,000 miles. It even had rubber floors, steel wheels, rollup windows....you get the idea. It was the perfect hunting truck. It was a fast truck as long as you did not tow ANYTHING or put anything in the bed.

In 2015 my daughter took her first big game animal. It was the Jr elk tag. Her rifle is a .243. We were concerned about the possibility of losing an elk due to poor shot placement being her first elk hunt, etc. We ended up using her grandfather's Browning in 30-06 with a BOSS break. We loaded 130grn bullets at 2700fps. It proved to be accurate and a pussy cat to shoot. She took a big lead cow at 197 yards with the shot took out the top of the heart. It was a thing of beauty. She was so calm and cool where is was about to pee myself with excitement. All of the preseason practice worked out wonderfully. This year she drew that tag again so we are super excited. I will leave it up to her which rifle she uses but we will start practicing NOW to ensure she is good to go.

I am going to jump on here...hope you do not mind Papas. I also need a Pistol holster trimmed.

I gut them in the field to bring home the rest. There is not really a lot of meat on a javi. I use that method to get the most possible and to have very little loss. We love the meat. It all goes to homemade chorizo.

I'd take it but I am in Tucson

It looks like a great way to SPREAD the funk. I stick to skinning from snout to tail. Changing knifes and gloves Multiple times. Only then do I gut.

COWARD: A person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc. Deputy scot peterson. What a fricken COWARD. I am willing to bet that most of us here are NOT law enforcement. BUT many of us in the same situation would have run into the school to try and do something.... I would have to run back to my truck to retrieve my firearm because it is illegal to enter a school with one. Perhaps no one explained the this POS kid that it was illegal?!?!?

I have literally ran to the sound gun fire twice in my life and on another occasion purposely stood in front of a drawn pistol to try and keep others around me from getting hurt. Neither of those times did I have so much as a pocket knife with me. Was it the smartest thing to do? No. Some would argue that it was probably the dumbest thing someone could do but at those specific times I could not stand by and do nothing. Thank my Lord nothing happened to me or anyone around during those occasions. I was lucky to say the least. For the record I am not law enforcement. I am just some one who was placed in a crappy, stupid situation and felt like I had to act. Training or not like it has been mentioned before......you have it or you do not. Living with the fact that others, innocent people, DIED WHO I WAS IN CHARGE OF their safety is something that I would be unbearable to me.

I have a Samsung that will not make ice. Fridge top/bottom freezer. It is only 7-8 years old. Other than no ice it works great. I cleaned the coils even though they were not bad at all. I even replaced the water valve but still no luck. Next step it to buy a replace ice maker. Any one having the same issues?

I have the Vortex Sparc AR. It is a nice little red dot. It comes with absolute and 1/3 co-witness bases. Rubber armored included as well. I like the compactness of it. Some feel it is too small but both eyes open shooting it is awesome. PSA often has it AND ten M2 PMAGs for $199+shipping. I think I paid $209 shipped. If you are getting into the platform you are going to need mags anyways.

Diamondback Stair Climber HRT 1000 My wife bought this against my opinion. She swore she would use it every day....so it is as new. You known the story. She paid like $700-800ish. I know it is worth a fraction of that. I want it out of the garage. Maybe your wife is insisting on her or for you to have a New year's resolution and you have something to trade instead of laying out cash. Will trade for just about anything hunting related. Firearms, ammo, optics, packs, etc. Please PM. You must pick up because I do not currently have a truck. We are in SW Tucson. -

It has been hovering in the 17-18 peso range for more than a few months it seems. December '16 it was 20:1. It made for a nice trip!

Don't you just replace the triggers on these striker fired guns? APEX something or othere. -
Good point about exchanging money. I buy pesos even when going to Rocky Point.
