    New Swarovski 115mm

Yep its a big hunk of glass. I think Swaro has it listed at 4.6 lbs. At just under $3000 I wont be getting one anytime soon but can't wait to hear how it performs. Could be pretty sweet with the BTX mod.

Found a good one and got some footage

I just watched it yesterday as well. Nice buck and video. I agree with everyone else who said he should be in the 90s. Good luck with the new job. I was born and raised in the Gila Valley. Really miss living there sometimes. There's some good hunting in that area if you look hard enough. Enjoy your videos keep them coming!

I was told you don't need one due to C19.

For students that completed the online hunter education course and their online Hunter Education Health and Safety: COVID-19 To ensure the safety of our students, volunteers and staff, many Hunter Education classroom courses, field days and bonus point field tests have been postponed. A limited number of small field days and bonus point field tests that adhere to CDC guidelines may be held, based on volunteer instructor availability. Should classes become available, they will be posted to the Department’s Hunter Education page, and further information will be provided to previously registered students. The youth hunter has an upcoming big game hunt tag. 3. The youth hunter will be accompanied by a licensed adult on the hunt. 4. The youth hunter must carry a copy of their online certification (AZ Field Day Qualification Exam Certificate) during the hunt. Information about changes to Hunter Education related to COVID-19.

    New pack recommendation?

Have you tried the gun scabbard yet. Looks interesting.

    New pack recommendation?

That looks like a pretty good pack. You're making me regret getting the Mystery Ranch.

    AZ Rifle Antelope

Nice! Very Nice! Well done sir!
  9. OpticNerd

First Antelope, hopefully not the last

Congrats! Glad everything worked out for ya in the end. Some of my most memorable hunts are the ones that don't turn out as planned. . You probably won't be forgetting this hunt for awhile and now you got an awesome hunting story to tell. The difference in vegetation between your hunt and your daughters is crazy. Congrats again and thanks for sharing.

    Muley deadhead

Nice find! Looks like a good one. Too bad it's a just muley😜

surrendered tag call 2 years in a row

I think next year you should plan on going antelope hunting just in case. That way you'll be ready when you get offered another rejected tag a week before the hunt starts.

    Coues Hunt

You smoked him. You dropped him. No way. Great job guys congrats!

    23N

Successful or not I hope you report back on how the hunt went. Curious to see if 23n holds up to all the hype.

    New pack recommendation?

That meat shelf is slick. Before when I would pack a deer out I had to put all the meat in the pack which caused some space issues. Not no more with the MR. I probably just jinxed myself and I'll never shoot a deer again so I'll never know how sweet this pack really is.
  15. OpticNerd

    New pack recommendation?

Nice! I'm sold on MR as well. I'm getting the Terra 65 or 80 haven't decided yet but leaning towards the 65. Kifaru is tempting but I'm too cheap. Plus isn't there some kind of rule or something that says your pack can't cost more than your binos.

    Tough archery hunt

Very nice! Those are some awesome pics man!. You get a new camera setup? I think you told me a couple years ago you were digiscoping with a phone and Swaro 65mm. That pic of the buck just above your buck looks like his twin. Congrats on a nice buck! This hunt must have been one heck of an emotional rollercoaster for you. Thanks for sharing it with us!

    Some People’s Attitudes!!!!

Yep. Over the past 15 years it seems that most of the forums I've followed has gone down in activity except for an astronomy forum and maybe a camera forum. Don't know why for sure but it does seem forum popularity has gone down over the years.

    2020 Archery OTC Coues

Stud buck congrats man! It's crazy enough to think you got to get up at 1am to be the 1st one at a tank let alone having to sleep at waterhole. Hats off to all you stand sitting maniacs out there willing to go through all that craziness!

    New pack recommendation?

Yeah doesn't seem like you hear about Badlands like you use to. When you mentioned their warranty made me wonder if Badlands are the Vortex of the backpack world.
  20. OpticNerd

    New pack recommendation?

Sorry my coues brother I wouldn't be interested in the Team Elk now that I know more about it. Too small. Whatever pack I end up getting has to be atleast as big as what I already got.
  21. OpticNerd

    New pack recommendation?

I'll have to google the team elk pack and see if it's something I might like. I'm thinking I might wanna give the Kifaru a try instead of getting another Eberlestalk. I'm just having a hard time spending that much on a dang pack.
  22. Great job kid! You might have just got the biggest coues of your life. Looking forward to the story.
  23. OpticNerd

    New pack recommendation?

Same boat as you. I've had a Eberlestalk Just One for about 15 years now. Good pack but it seems a bit big for my frame. I'd like to find one that feels like it actually fits me. I was looking at the Outdoorsmans you have. What don't you like about it?

    Antler Growth

Wow. Looks like a stud buck.

    Antler Growth

Really!? I can't wait to see the pics if he did. That dude's a hunting machine!
