  1. Being only 3 hours from Tucson you might want to check with the rancher and see if he's OK with you going down and scouting the ranch before you fork down any cash. All the ranches I've been to allowed us to come down and check out the ranch before purchasing the tags. Plus it's also good to drive down before hand to learn the roads, meet the ranchers/locals and what not if you haven't already. If it's a good ranch that's seem like a good deal.

    My Archery Antelope Hunt with Video

    Congrats on filling your tag. Really enjoyed the video. Lots of great footage most of which was actually of the animals you were hunting and not the usual filler footage of trees, rocks or hunters driving in their trucks. Thanks for sharing!

    OK, who does this?

    I for one see nothing wrong with the actions of the other hunters.

    19a Archery Buck

    Very nice! Job well done! I agree with buffhunter you got to be pretty dang sneaky to get 40 yards from an antelope.

    A Border Fence?

    I'd have to say no to a fence. A wall like the Great Wall of China on the other hand would be a heck yes from this non-hippy!

    Tag surrender question?

    Thanks for the info guys. I thought I wanted to hunt muleys this year but lately I've came down with a serious case of coues fever. O well at least the wife got a coues tag. Now if I can just convince her to let me go with her
  12. Is it possible for a person to surrender or give back their deer tag to the AZGF after doing so would said person now be eligible to apply for a leftover deer tag?

    spot the head

    I think I see it but I don't want to spoil the fun for you other guys. On a side note I think I see Bigfoot back in the timber.
  14. Had my bow stolen earlier this year and I'm looking to get a replacement. My old bow use to be a PSE Mach X which I was very pleased with. My current budget is just under $500 for a complete set up ready to shoot. I would love to find a used bow no older than 5 years that has a good compromise of speed and forgiveness. Any suggestions as to which bows I should consider buying???

    Used Bow Recomendations

    PM's answered. Thanks for the offers guys. I'm not quite ready to buy a bow just yet. I'm still doing some research as to which bow would be best for me. As of now I'm leaning towards the Bowtech Experience but I don't know if I can find one in my price range. I was mainly looking for suggestions really. Anybody have any opinions on the Bowtech Experience?

    Bucks! Big, Medium, Small & a 120++

    Thanks for the comments WildmanKC, wildwoody and Girls Shoot Better. +1. I could do it all day every day! Nice buck in your avatar btw.
  20. Here's a video I put together from the rut in 2013. I posted it here on CW last year but only left it up for a short time. I recently had a couple members ask if I could put this video back up and I figured what the heck. I changed it up a bit and added more of the bigger buck footage and left out a few of the smaller bucks but it's still very similar to the original. I have developed quite the passion for videoing coues in the rut over the years it's actually more of an obsession really. I'm already losing sleep thinking about next years rut and what I need to do to get better footage. There's just something about videoing rutting coues bucks that gets my blood flowing like no other. Anyways hope you guys enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it. As always don't forget to watch it in HD.

    Bucks! Big, Medium, Small & a 120++

    Thanks willhunt4coues. Everything I've seen shot with the FZ70K looks really really good. It's amazing just how good these small cameras are now days especially when you compared them to the video cameras I started out with 20+ years ago. I thought I mentioned this in one of my earlier post but after reading through all the post again I realized I didn't. All the footage was taken by video/digiscoping using a point and shoot camera connected to a spotter/scope. So just in case some of you thought it was videoed with just a point and shoot it wasn't. Just wanted to make sure there was no confusion.

    Bucks! Big, Medium, Small & a 120++

    Thanks for the added comments guys. Ha Ha. A few offers but I had to turn them down. The wife still thinks I'm crazy for doing so. Yea I used both a Panasonic GH2 and G6 as well as my trusty point and shoot on this year's video. The footage was better in some ways with the dslr but overall I liked the small point and shoot better than both the dslr cameras I used. Here's the link to that video http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/46859-2014-coues-rut-video/ The clips that begin at these times are all dslr footage :33, :56, 1:12, 1:24, 1:27, 1:46, 2:26, 2:28, 2:34, 2:57, 3:23, and 3:57.

    Bucks! Big, Medium, Small & a 120++

    Thanks for the additional comments guys! It makes all the work putting these videos together worth while after reading all the positive feedback. Thanks! Already working on hopefully improving the video quality a bit for the next one. As long as I have the time and I'm able to find some bucks I should be putting another video together for 2015. I'm actually thinking on maybe putting a velvet bucks video together this year as well. I haven't videoed any velvet bucks in over 5 years. Good to know I'll keep that in mind

    Bucks! Big, Medium, Small & a 120++

    Thanks for the comment Coach. Majority of the footage is from a Canon Elph 300 hs. There might be a clip or two that came from an Iphone or canon HV20.
