    Coues in 4K

Thanks guys! Pretty sure you got me beat bhuntin with a 27 inch Mac. I don't even think my monitor displays full 1080 so I have yet to truly see what the 4K footage looks like. Don't mind at all Quagmire the camera I used was a Panasonic G7.

    Which Spotter???

When you say you be using this for pack-in hunts I automatically think smaller/lighter is better. I've owned my fair share of scopes sizes ranging from 25mm all the way up to 120mm and I absolutely love the Nikon ED50 with the 13-40x zoom. I've had success using mine out to 2 miles but it all depends on what your going to use it for. If you think you'll be using this new scope for an occasional look at a deer just to see if it has antlers then I'd say the 50mm scopes would be my choice for a pack-in hunt. One thing I hear and see a lot from other hunters is that more times than not they leave the spotting scope in the truck because it's not worth packing for how little they actually use it. Sometimes smaller really is better.

    Youth Turkey and Sheds!

There's nothing better than hunting with family. Great stuff! That 4 point frame shed has got to be one of the biggest 4 point frames I've ever seen on an elk. Technically it looks like it would be a 5 point but just barely.

    The one that got away

Great looking buck and pic. That early bow hunt can be a great time of year to tag a big buck. As long as you don't mind the fuzzy antlers, the heat and the numerous critters out there that can and will bite you especially them dang chiggers. One summer a couple of friends and I counted 16 rattlers in one day. That day was the day I finally broke down and bought some snake caps.

    Just want to vent

I use to be in favor of the squaring bonus points method but after giving it more thought I think AZ's current method is probably better overall. As mentioned in an earlier post the only way to truly improve odds is more tags and/or fewer applicants and I think we can all agree that we don't want more tags and as far as fewer applicants that's not happening any time soon either. It is what it is. One of the main reason I'm not in favor of the squaring method anymore is I like the fact that anyone has a chance to draw a good tag with our current system no matter how many points they have especially for the kids. My cousin had two of his kids draw trophy bull tags this year with very few points. If I remember correctly I think either kid had no more than 3 BP. I feel it's a good thing that the younger kids in AZ still have a chance to draw quality tags like this at such an early age while they're still kids with not as much responsibilities in life yet. Squaring the points will reduce the chance of the younger hunters starting out with very few bonus points from getting these quality tags.

Nevada proposing to ban Trail Cameras

I agree with Tines. I hear way more stories about guys eating tag soup because they were holding out for that one particular buck they happened to get a trail cam pick of. Very rarely do I hear stories of hunters getting a T.C. pic of a big buck and going out and killing it. Heck who knows there might be less deer/elk killed every year because of this. While I'm not a big fan of trail cams I can't really see them as being a reason for more game being killed.

    Card Hit - 2016 style

WOW!! All I can say is WOW! This thread is borderline legendary. All we'd need to bump this thread up to legendary status would be a post from Naturegirl.

Still ahead of schedule. If the results aren't out by April 22nd then we'd have a reason to complain.

Guides not real hunters????? That's funny.

Can we start an updated thread about the Elk draw

I don't see the point in starting a new thread until the results are officially out. Every year we get numerous draw results threads posted before the draw has even happened. I vote no more draw results thread made until the day comes when the draw results are actually out. No need for two non draw results threads going at the same time. trphyhntr just blew this thread up though! That's dang funny right there

    Swarovski new what????

DANG IT! I was hoping for a lightweight 6x-24x variable binocular with at least a constant 72 degree FOV. A guy can dream can't he

    Still rutting!

Went out Sunday morning and saw a lot of does by themselves. Maybe 5 or 6 groups totaling about 20 deer not a buck found anywhere near these ladies. Did see a 3x3 with his nose to the ground searching and 2 small bucks bugging some does.

115" Mexico 3x3 pics and kill shots

Very nice! I loved the videos. The quality of your footage looks crazy good. From the looks of it I'd have to guess the footage was captured by phonescopeing. It always amazes me to see such awesome footage coming from a dang phone attached to a scope or binos. Excellent job all around congrats!
