    Thanks Tony!

Check the color on these 2 bucks

My daughters like them too. They're already staking claim on them. Unfortunately for me they have tags before me so there's a chance they might get the bigger one before I even get a chance at it. I guess I'll just have to go find a bigger one. Haha. Yep I didn't notice until I got home. Thanks!

    Bull shot... what happened??

That quartering to you is one tough shot. From what you described I would think it should be a dead bull. As far as the bh goes like a lot of others Ive heard numerous horror stories about Montecs and elk even witnessed 2 myself. Anytime an animal doesn't die right away the bh seems to be the first and easiest to blame. I will say this you put a Montec through an elk heart he'll die every time pretty sure double center lung it's dead everytime as well. I think a lot of these horror stories are do to not so great shot placement. Crazy story about that bull you called in. Must have been quite the rush. There's nothing like calling in a big ol bull. Good luck on the rest of the hunt and finding your dads bull.

    New pack recommendation?

I got my MR in as well about a week ago. I got the Terraframe 65. I haven't been able to fully test it out just yet. Definitely can tell it's lighter than my old Eberlestalk Just One but more importantly it actually feels like it fits me. It's a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be. The non camo bugs me a lot more than I thought it would but I should get use to it. I also didn't think it was going to fit all my gear because how small it looked but it all fit. Maybe I'll get the chance to test it out a bit better this weekend hopefully out in the hills. So far it still feels like an upgrade from my old pack just a few things I got to get use to.

    Archery Antelope

Heck yes pretty sweet! Great job all around. I like the double rainbow pic even though I don't quite know what it means.

    Rut Activity

Probably right with that guess. Tag or not you're one lucky dude if you get to go elk hunting for 9 years in a row.

    New Swarovski 115mm

So how many of you guys are going to be getting the new 115mm Swaro?
  10. OpticNerd

    New Swarovski 115mm

Reasons to buy new Swarovski 115mm. 1. Maximum glass for maximum optical quality. 2. Half the weight I'm currently using. 3. Nut veins. I can finally see nut veins! Thanks bonecollector I wouldhave never thought of that one. I'm starting to think your name might means something different than I originally thought.🤣

    New Swarovski 115mm

One of the things I found surprising was it will have the same mags as the 95mm. When I 1st heard about it my 1st thought was dang whats going to be the magnification with the BTX? 40x? 50?. Nope same as the 95. Say what now?! Unless Swarovski used some sort of reducer that would make this a very fast optic. I'm just speculating but this should be around f4.8 compared to f5.8 for the 95mm. I'm very curious to see how well it does when hooked up to a camera. The more I think about the more I want to get one for videoing with because it's really close to what I'm using now but at half the weight. This dang thing is really starting to tempt me. Might be time to start selling off all my gear and join Team Swaro.

    New Swarovski 115mm

Yep its a big hunk of glass. I think Swaro has it listed at 4.6 lbs. At just under $3000 I wont be getting one anytime soon but can't wait to hear how it performs. Could be pretty sweet with the BTX mod.

Found a good one and got some footage

I just watched it yesterday as well. Nice buck and video. I agree with everyone else who said he should be in the 90s. Good luck with the new job. I was born and raised in the Gila Valley. Really miss living there sometimes. There's some good hunting in that area if you look hard enough. Enjoy your videos keep them coming!

First Antelope, hopefully not the last

Congrats! Glad everything worked out for ya in the end. Some of my most memorable hunts are the ones that don't turn out as planned. . You probably won't be forgetting this hunt for awhile and now you got an awesome hunting story to tell. The difference in vegetation between your hunt and your daughters is crazy. Congrats again and thanks for sharing.

surrendered tag call 2 years in a row

I think next year you should plan on going antelope hunting just in case. That way you'll be ready when you get offered another rejected tag a week before the hunt starts.

    New pack recommendation?

That meat shelf is slick. Before when I would pack a deer out I had to put all the meat in the pack which caused some space issues. Not no more with the MR. I probably just jinxed myself and I'll never shoot a deer again so I'll never know how sweet this pack really is.
