We had a great family of hunting throughout January. My son Jared was invited to the Game and Fish Pheasant hunt on the YMCA ranch. They did an awesome job with the kids. Big kudos to NWTF & AZ G-F We got home with about 2 hours of day light, Went out to my old stopping grounds for a quick look for them elusive Rouge Javelina. As I was still hunting this nice boar happen to jump out and allow my arrow to get in this way. What a tough time for our youth Javelina hunters. We hunted the first 3 days but with the rain, snow and our highways being closed we were not able to get to our honey holes. We did manage to find 2 lone pigs but they were one the move and disappeared as quick as they came. This last weekend we again hunted Friday - Sunday. My son shot his 2nd Javelina and my daughted had her first 2 shots but missing high. I can say she had JAVELINA FEVER. she was shaking like a leaf in the wind. Great times for a father and his son and daughter to spend much needed one on one time 1-1-10 found me looking for my 1st 100" January buck. After 2 different 4 day weekends and at 63 hours of sitting a stand the buck I was after showed up. He was 22 yards courtering away. He came through my right window and as he went to my left window I drew. As he stopped and looked the other way. I thought to my self OK,"level my site, aim opposite front leg and lower third." I seen the arrow hit him but it seemed 8" back from the shoulder and mid section. I gave him 45min. then left the blind. As I looked to were he was standing I saw blood following the trail the way he left. I then scanned for my arrow but did not see it. I then backed out and returned 3 and half hours later. I again looked for my arrow but could not find it. I followed good blood but for 80 yards. as I rounded some thick brush I saw him stand. He was only about 20 yards. I drew on him but the brush was so thik I could not find a shooting lane. he went about 20 more yards and just staired back at me, Again no shooting lane. I turned around and left. This was at 4:00pm. I returned the next morning to were he was last seen. I ended up following spotty blood straight up a mountian between 180-190 yards before the rain, sleet, snow came. I went back at about 1:30 to find my arrow. I ended up finding it 60 yards out and 35 yards to the right of were I shot. At the moment I shot, he ducted and spun, as the arrow him it now entered low and through his hind courter. I found white hair on the broadhead, thus coues only having this type of hair on their belly and hind legs. I finnaly stopped looking at after 5:00pm when I began to shake and could not feel my fingers due to the constant sleet, snow. I was soaked and cold like I have never felt before. I ended up making a 400 yard cross grid from last blood but to never find any more sign. I spend another day looking but never found him I have seen every piece of dirt with in a 5 yard distance in that zone. I believe now with him sitting in his bed for 3.5 hours then going straight up after I saw him and finding my arrow the other direction, my hope is he will live. This is the first deer I have lost and man does it hurt! If he did die then I will find him and put my tag on him. As soon as the snow melts and the ground gets a little harder I will be out their! this is me pointing in the direction I found my arrow. it was 60 yardsin the direction I was pointing, the buck was were I was standing. I think this is the same buck, this was the same night that I left. I hope this is him!

Hi Bowhunter 4life can you tell me why you would sell your Doctors? I mean is there something that you dont like about them? From what I've read these are my dream bino's, I do alot of hill top-mountain top viewing, while I hunt, just wish I could get lucky enough to get a pair of these. I sold them mainly due to size and weight. I do most of my glassing from "packing in to good locations" I sold them to a freind for his son and they are great bino's for his 1st pair. You will enjoy them!
