I installed a kwick Klip on my friends gun, its nice. If I'd known you were going to spend that much on the part, I would have sold you mine and bought the kwick klip.

    Birthday pig

Archery javelina is always fun, great challenge with a bow. I've killed 13-14 with my bow and a few with rifles. The bow hunt is always more fun. And now I get to do it with my son.

    Birthday pig

Took off of work on the 18th to go pig hunting, I never go to work on my bday. This is the third arhery pig I killed on my bday. I knew the area were they hung out just did a quiet stalk until I found them in the thick brush. Managed to get a 22 yard shot at a sow. She weighted 36 lbs field dressed. Not my biggest but still a good bday. I will post up some pics later today. Since I was by myself I only have a couple pics.

    suggestion to azgfd

We used to buy archery javelina tags over the counter, and if our success wasn't that good, you could apply for a rifle tag, or get a left over. Several year ago you could go into game and fish and buy leftover javelina tags if you were not successful with your bow or if you coundn't get out much during the archery hunt. One thing that has changed is AZGFD department realized when you walk in for a leftover tag, if you fill out the application, they could charge you the application fee. This meaning you would be putting in more than one application per genus(animal type), they only allow one per year per genus. It all comes down to them getting extra revenue out of the application fee. It used to be great when we could by an archery javelina tag over the counter and hunt anywhere in the state. Good times.........long gone. They wanted more control over the javelina population, thus designated hunt areas. I do not think they will change this because they want the app fee for leftovers, not to mention control over the pig population.

    Birthday pig

Here's my pictures: I had nobody to take my picture, so I took on when I got home. These pigs are both in 34b. mine weighed 36 lbs and Joshes weighed about 34lbs My son had real good luck tonight, he missed his first shot at 18 yards, and nailed it on the next shot @16 yards. He's 13 and has now killed 2 pigs in a row, one when he was 12 and now his 2nd at 13.

    Hunting in the rain?

We we not being drama queens or cry babies, just stating the facts. Sorry to hear you are handicappied, that makes a big difference in this whole road hunting discussion. Would have been nice if you mentioned that. Did you know if you are handicapped and don't apply for the permit to hunt from a vehicle you are basically still guilty of road hunting ? Just something for you to think about next time you go hunting.

    1st kill

Congrats on your deer. Everyone has thier limitations, as long as everyone knows them. All comes down to practice and what you are comfortible with. Better equipement doesn't hurt either.

    Hunting in the rain?

These are the facts, rules we should all follow. Anything you do in the field that may not be up to par, makes all hunting look bad. Non- hunters love to catch you doing things wrong. Don't make the rest of us look bad too. I cherish my right to hunt and it's the little things that slowly take away our sport. Just think about it, and if you still do it, be smart and don't "brag" about it. Sorry if you don't agree. Your screen name tells a story, not a good one to me.
