Our son has been a part of our spring turkey hunts and since he has gotten older we can be a little more mobile and not always in a blind. He grows like a weed, and I am hesitant to buy camo as it wont last for more than one season. So Im curious if there are any parents out there that have some youth camo (xs-s, maybe m) they might be getting rid? Im not looking for a lot, just a few outfits or coveralls that will keep him concealed and warm. Id also welcome any suggestions Thanks

Yah, you might as well give them to GoodWill, I think it'll be a few before he is wearing those sizes. We'll plan on a Flagstaff visit vs. a soccer trip to the valley. Be safe on the road...enjoy them tamales and Mexican comfort food while in El Paso.

Brian, that's great! I'll take the pants, hoody, and under armor shirt. My son is prolly gonna be the tall and skinny turd too... No need to ship, we can meet up in Flagstaff when I come through in early January. Edit** did a boot check, and he is good for now. Thanks again for checking.. i love my sons enthusiasm when it comes to camping, wearing his camo hat (my old one) and getting out to look for critters. More camo is only going to fuel his enthusiasm for spring turkey! Make him forget the cold and wet of last year.

That's awesome Brian, I appreciate it. I'll touch base with you after the New Year. I'll be up your way for some pig hunts and can make plans to meet up if you have some items to hand off. Thanks!

Well since you're headed that way and coming back...can I place an order for 3 Doz fresh tamales from Robertos in Las Cruces? Oh... on topic for the OP, I have a brick I can sell you for $30.00 Staying off topic, my wife was talking to her sister about getting the tamales going when we get there. I could probably hook you up with a 6-12 homemade El Paso tamales! Ha! Thanks Brian...very tempting. Safe travels for you all. Lot of highway between Flag and El Paso.

You've certainly earned that buck. Even better that you did it in that cursed snow in 0 degrees. Nice work man. Hope to chase some of them Moscow mules in January too...

http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/62639-some-free-some-for-sale/ Yah...I saw this too, my son won't fit in these for at least 4 more years. I'd prefer other kids get to use them rather than holding bogarting them until he can fit in them. Thanks

That's an idea I didn't consider, everything I saw at BP and Cabelas was in the $100-$150 for a kids outfit...which is steep even for 2 seasons. Thanks for the suggestion.

BRAND NEW - Vortex Diamondback 10x42 Binoculars
SWDesertRat replied to Angler4Life's topic in Classified Ads
Very fair price for brand new. Bought a pair of these as a gift and was pretty impressed with light and clarity for cost. Price is so good, contemplating buying this pair while waiting for my Razors to get sent back from Vortex... Free Bump in the hopes someone else buys them to take the temptation away from me..- 6 replies

It looks like your saying you want uninsulated? Keep in mind the desert guides are not GorTex (WindTex for kenetrek) lined, so water proofing will come only from whatever leather treatment you put on the boots. Also, Kenetrek has some models that can't be resoled. I have Nothing specific to help you out but maybe some additional things to think about.

Interesting character on that left side. Thanks for sharing! I like the fact you posted one with a water mark and one without. Keeps the haters on both sides happy.

Pretty sure you're talking about a ceramic cone with heating elements on it. Something like this? http://www.processheating.com/index.php?page=Coneheater2 Post a pic, it might help

Good price on a good set of optics. Spent the last two weeks using Kaibabs and Vultures side by side. These really are a good set of 15 eyes for someone who doesn't want to spend more than $400.00 GLWS

The Latest: US giving UN $26.6 million to help migrants
SWDesertRat replied to ctafoya's topic in The Campfire
Not saying what is being done is the right thing to do, but 26 mill is nothing compared to the economic aid that we are sending directly to other countries on an annual basis. At least the UN will earmark the money for immigrant issues. What we send other countries in economic aid and military assistance can get used however they want. -
waste of money yes. ruin your truck and look stupid, no. I agree with trphyhuntr on this one. I've found that the OEM TRD shocks on my Toyota trucks are solid but the after market coil overs and upgraded shocks (front and rear) are superior for continued off-road use and not failing on a long dirt road with plenty of wash boards is key to any travel. If I can increase the front clearance by 2-3" AND improve the off-road handling, I see it as a win-win. I am also only talking about suspension upgrades NOT leveling kits.

+1 for Toytec, call them up and talk to them, they can give you the run down based on what you like to do off-road or if it's about a lift for bigger stance.

Sorry...these are sold. Thanks for the interest.
