Great photos! Looks like from your lion post these lions are hunting your rutting buck. They are in there only a few hours later. As wore out as he looks in the last photo, his chances are not looking good. Be curious to see if he makes it. Keep us posted

How did the hunt go? There are SC maps that have every road marked.

Anybody here that can bolt down safe into concrete?
GreatWhiteBuffalo replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
Because this is a slab on grade you cannot x-ray it, you will need to GPR to locate PT cables. Your slab is most likely 4" thick, maybe thicker in some areas and your cables are centered in the slab. If you are looking for safety (doesn't fall over on your dog) and not for enough capacity to resist a burglar pushing it over, then you only need to install a drop in anchor that is 1/2" deep, a 3/8" dia. x 1/2" deep should give you plenty of capacity to hold it in place. Put more than one if you want -
Poser is the man. I love hunting solo, but over the long term, everyone needs a Poser. Is his name really Poser? Great script, buck and timing with the post.

A very frustrating process indeed, unless you are willing to travel. I have been trying to get the kids signed up for the field day for over a year. My daughter drew a cow tag this year and G&F sent out a post card with a class date to sign her up. Once the kids are drawn they do make it a priority to get the kids signed up. There are a couple of weekend camps up north this summer which I don't believe have been announced yet. Call the G&F ask for the HE department and leave a message. Good luck.

I shot a bull there in 1982 with the same right side unicorn. Genetics for sure, or it could have something to do with meteor crater.

http://www.wnd.com/2016/02/sniper-kills-isis-executioner-during-beheading-class/ No mention of shot distance but I imagine it wasn't close. Never heard of a Dan .338? Someone know anything about this gun?

Bergers FAILED me horribly

I was of the understanding that the VLD hunters were supposed to retain their mass and not explode on impact. They are supposed to penetrate and not disintegrate. Hitting bone is a much better shot than a double lung. I shoot the 140VLD from my 6.5-.284 and have dropped 3 bulls with it. One went completly thru the spine @ 420yds, the last went thru both shoulders @ 517yds. Recovered both bullets. -
2015 Coues (Finally broke the 110" mark)
GreatWhiteBuffalo replied to azryan's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Nice job, way to close the deal on a trophy buck. I have been on both sides of that dilemma more than once and will never forget them. I am sure the kid will not forget it. Great memories -
the cam army is out. Why don't we take a poll and see many cameras are out there, add them all up. Tell us if you think it is fair chase. I do have high power binos, spotter and a rifle that can shoot further than i can, the works. The difference is i am spending time in the field and not letting the army of cams do my 24/7/365 scouting. I also run 2 cams, and yes they are on private property.
