I have a 7E archery tag in 2 weeks ... This is such good news because I didn't hear a SINGLE bugle when I drew last in '03!

On the main page of the azgfd.gov website there is a link to the "Survey, Harvest and Hunt Data for Big & Small Game", reading through this I came across the odds of drawing a tag based on the amount of bonus points an individual has... As expected, the odds increased with the more bonus points one has when it comes to the Antelope draw, but when looking at the Elk numbers I was puzzled... maybe you guys can help me figure this one out. Here's the data.. All the numbers look good up until 8 bonus points, but then the odds start to decrease until you hit 16 bonus points.. how is this?? Could it really be that my odds of drawing an elk tag are GREATER if I have 0 bonus points as opposed to 14 bonus points!?!

I'm thinking about 20 new topics a day with an average of 8-10 replies each. That's about 200 replies a day x 30 = 6,000 However!! The draw results were released in July so that increases the number quite a bit .. So my guess is 6,575

I guess so .. I guess I'm still pretty baffled by the numbers though .. seems it should be different And why do the Antelope numbers look normal?

So that explains 0-2 bonus points if you can get a cow tag every other year at worst, but what about the numbers beyond that?

36C Late December hunt... took me 5 years to draw any tag and I get 7E archery elk and now a late coues hunt.. Funny how things work out.

I'd love to have that 6:46am shot on opening morning of my archery season.

Well I drew Unit 7E Archery Bull and my hunt# is 3122.... so I don't know what you put in for, but I'm guessing 3124 is either cow/bull in unit 8.. Don't shoot the messenger if I'm wrong though

Unit 9 early rifle bull is a once in a lifetime hunt... you shouldn't leave that w/ less than a 400 class bull.

This happens every year boys and girls... one person will say "by the end of the day" and another will say "by the end of June". I think the Game and Fish just change their stories every day to ammuse themselves.

This was true for my dad as well. Last year when everyone was saying their card was getting hit, we were bummin' hard because we had nothing on our cards at all. Then the results came out and he had drawn a muzzleloader bull tag and a late season whitetail. So if you have an AmEx or any actual credit card (not debit), don't tie the noose yet.
