also I buy small waterproof duffle bag and strap it to my pack they don't weigh much but I always want it with me during certain seasons.

I have 2. the 1st I've used for the last 2 years and used both Augusts. its very smart to have rain gear. I didn't spend a whole lot. Red Head Storm Tex. did the job. the cuffs get wet in down pours. kinda hot too but again did the job and let me keep hunting. I got a 2nd set so i have a spare dry one. red head stretch rain wear. seems a little thinner (hopefully cooler) and has some stretch. haven't used it yet though. I buy a size bigger in jackets to accommodate layering. I use L jackets and M pants. I'm 5'5" and average build. husbands 6' 200 lbs and wears L pants and XXL jacket. he has long arms.

why do they seem to wait til the end of the year? they have a whole year to find one and every year there are big ones especially when you have the whole state and I'm sure guides. we all get 7-14 days to fill our tags and that's only if you take off the whole hunt which most people cant do. Sept/Oct of last year held many hard horned big bulls. just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm sorry. I really despise thieves. I hope you find your bow.

I found the coyote the 1st time around but Ive looked again and i don't see the deer. hmmm

water is great. I've had bulls coming in day and night but it makes your cameras a little more susceptible to theft so we try to limit water. we've been concentrating on heavily used trails and funnels mostly and been getting lots of pics of elk, deer, bears, turkey, bobcats, and coyotes. been an active couple months with cameras. totally amazed at the amount of bears this year. I put salt down over the weekend on 1 cam so we will see if it makes a difference.

I hope someone shares. I'm curious too if anyone has one. it has good reviews and I've always had good quality with my Kelty packs. Im gonna need something to carry my elk out :0)

I agree and really like this site. it is very helpful and fun to share with other hunters. I think sometimes people just get a little too worked up over stuff. it's human nature to be passionate but you do need self control. you also should remember there are actual human beings on the other side of the screen. sometimes people forget that with our newer technologies. don't say something online that you wouldn't say to someone in person.

how much do you practice? I'm about 3-5 times a week just depends on how busy my week. I do have a range in my backyard which makes it a lot easier. just curious what everyone else does?

6a. I'm pretty much a spot and stalk type hunter. it pains me to sit still in a blind or stand. ill do it if i have to but id definitely rather not. I'm not out for a trophy but I'd like a big bull. I know we all would...lol. on my rifle hunt a few years ago I passed on some spikes/rag horns, came home empty handed and don't overly regret it. even though I'm newer to hunting myself I've been tagging along for more than a decade. I just want to increase my odds by being well rounded.
