6A WT 11/8 hunt for me (I'll have my bow & 270 on my hunt) & hubby has 6A 11/22 bull archery. It's my 1st time I'll be targeting WT exclusively :0)

I'm looking for a larger size for my husband. I own a size medium myself and love them, but can't justify getting a 2nd pair for myself when the first was such a splurge. This is a good price and cheaper than I got mine at the KUIU outlet. It's GRAY Chugach rain paint & CAMO Chugach rain jacket if you put the two together. Here's the links to EBAY. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kuiu-Chugach-Rain-Jacket-Medium-Verde-Hunting-Ultralight-20-Off-Retail-/181174812778?pt=US_Hunting_Clothes&hash=item2a2edc406a http://www.ebay.com/itm/KUIU-Ultralight-Hunting-Chugach-Rain-Pant-Gray-Medium-/181175810733?pt=US_Hunting_Clothes&hash=item2a2eeb7aad

Thank you Chef :0) I absolutely love the final outcome. You did a great job on the trim work and finishing touches! Thank you for taking the time to explain the difference between professional installation of epoxy floors vs DIY kits. Our years of installation experience, excellent prep of the concrete, and the high quality of our materials makes all the difference. It definitely costs more up front for us to professionally do the floor, but when we do it, it's a one-time deal and not something you will have to do over every couple years with DIY kits, which typically fail because of peeling, delamination, yellowing, etc. Thanks again Chef! It was a pleasure doing business with you! Christina http://www.ultimatecoatingsaz.com/ PS - I'm still around :0) I've just been super busy with work, family, and normal life. I'm waiting patiently to see if it was me or the hubby that was drawn for deer :0) We were hit, but only with one charge! I feel like a kid at Christmas...LOL

Bowhunter Happening July 19-21 Mormon Lake
naturegirl replied to darrcolburn's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Don't forget your rain gear! I was at Mormon Lake last weekend and it rained a bunch! -
I've said many a prayer for the families and friends left behind.

Its nothing like elk hunting as far as competition from other hunters in 6a. We may run into a couple people turkey hunting but I've never had anyone chasing the same birds.

This video is very cool! I've had this happen to me except there was a stump in between me and the bull and boy was I surprised/scared/excited because it was the 1st time I had ever called in a bull (before season last year). For those of you that have had experiences like this, you know the feeling! For the life of me I can't figure out how to post the actual video, so here's a link instead. If anyone else is able, please feel free :0) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1561006581415

I was tempted to ask each person whose truck it is, but decided not to. It's always fun to place human faces with screen names It was around noonish on Xmas Eve.

Two CWT Members on "Outlanders Limited Draw" Hunting show *PHOTOS ADD*
naturegirl replied to RAM's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Regan and I approached this hunt with the mindset of wanting to show the country just how hard all of us AZ boys and girls hunt these "Grey Ghosts" and just how hard it can be to hunt them. I haven't seen the editted cut yet, but from all the footage collected during the hunt, this show should be incredible!!!!!!! -
badgers primarily dig holes into the sides of washes. I had to research this when I saw my first badger in the desert a couple years ago. It shocked the crap out of me when we saw this large, but very short thing waddling away from us. We went back weeks later (after finding out what it even was) and found his den right by where we had seen him (the den was on the side of the wash just like the research said it would be). I think the hole looks like maybe a coyote to me. Most of the fox holes I've seen have multiple holes (or attempted holes). I sure wish your camera was more clear. We've ridden our horses out there a bit and used the area recreationally for 30+ years. I've never seen a coues around there - only muleys. BUT, anything is possible. The pics just aren't clear enough to get a really good view of her, although the 3rd pic sure looks like a whitetail to me )

First Mule Deer (what would be your score?)
naturegirl replied to Yoshi's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Great deer. I'd be happy :0) -
yep does he work there? I was tempted to ask whose it was to introduce myself, but there were a lot of people in there :0)

Still ok. I hunt alone a lot and have come across some really crazy people out in the field. I'm normally a rule follower, but if they were to ever change this rule back to not allowing it----- I will never hunt alone without a sidearm period. never.

Was up there last weekend with lots of snow and they have had more since. My father-in-law gives me a daily update on snow conditions. yes, there's lots of snow for sledding and playing

Closing units to December archery hunting
naturegirl replied to huntlines's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I've hunted archery for about 4 years. I hunt easily 30+ days a year with at least that time spent scouting. I've taken 2 shots with my bow. stuck my pig moving at 10 yards and went 10 yards. took a shot this September after 11 days ( if I remember right) and I hit him broadside at 30 yards standing still. I never recovered him but looked for 9 hours. None of this was for lack of opportunity but rather discipline and A LOT of self control. And I'll ask you "What's your point?" or better yet are you in some way passing judgement on me since I'm an "archer?" EDIT- forgot took a shot at a deer once at about 80+ yards and completely missed. I thought he was 50ish but after ranging boy was I way off. I was deceived. -
There is what is believed to be a hybrid buck that we've watched for years in a mule deer only area. We have yet to see any WT offspring in this area over the 3 years we have been watching this particular buck. I'm leaning toward the idea of him being sterile because with his large size i would think he would be a dominant buck by now or at least gotten "lucky" a time or two.

Closing units to December archery hunting
naturegirl replied to huntlines's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
MANDATORTY REPORTAING means you don't have a choice to not report. If an archery hunter refuses to report he will get cited. I agree with Traveler, mandatory reporting for everyone is needed. Rifle hunters don't understand this issue but when they have to report and then their hunts get taken away because of it they will....... I agree, we must have mandatory reporting of all big game animals. I still do not understand how AZGFD manadate a 20% cap against archers when it is based on them only receiving, 40% return rate from their survey cards that they mail out? I think if they did mandate mandatory reporting it would change how they manage! It would reduce the number of tags they would sell. The facts would show are many more deer being harvested during all the rifle hunts that they currently do not have to account for. I also agree with manditory reporting. Never said I didn't. I'm a firm believer in this. What I meant was with the system the way IT IS, it is completely WRONG to LIE about where you harvested. I've thought about this a lot more since I read this post and I believe what dissapoints me most is some of my fellow hunters is the anger, manipulativeness, and just plain selfishness that would lead someone to lie about where they reported. It has NOTHING to do about the deer and EVERYTHING to do about the hunter. Sorry guys/gals but I still believe in putting the animals first and you can call me niave or any name in the book, but I am not an expert in animal management and I will leave that up to G&F. If you believe that archery will remain OTC forever in all units, I personally believe you've got another thing coming. Unless there is a drastic shift in hunter numbers or deer numbers, it's gonna happen at some point in some units. I hear there are reports of decreasing hunter numbers, but around my circle every year at least a couple (if not whole familes) of people are introduced to hunting (some by our help...some not) and so far the only people I know that quit hunting was people who have died. If the unit I want to hunt in is closed, I will move units if I want to hunt December or I will wait til January to hunt my preferred unit. If I move units, then yes it will affect the next unit if I harvest a deer. It's a big ol domino effect. But really only time will tell. -

Either choose to report honestly or don't report at all, but lying about where the harvest occurred is very unethical. -
You are the man! That is absolutely awesome and fascinating. PM sent.
