Howdy! Kyrene School District is hosting a hiring event this Friday, June 14th specifically targeting potential school bus drivers. We are giving applicants an opportunity to test drive a bus before even interviewing! Some notes on our fleet: Mostly 3 year old propane A/C buses with 3 point seat belts. (Practically brand new fleet) 30 hour position that includes benefits and state retirement starting at $15.49 per hour. We pay for ALL of your training and train and test you onsite. Desert Breeze Blvd. Chandler, AZ 85048 SUMMARY: Kyrene School District will hold a recruiting event to introduce prospective employees to the all-important bus driver position, and we’re giving media a chance to sit in the driver’s seat as well. Attendees will hear about the benefits of being a Kyrene School District bus driver (great hours, pay, benefits, and work schedule) and all participants will have a hands-on opportunity to learn more about the basics of driving a school bus. Instructors will go over how to adjust mirrors, control speed, and communicate via 2-way radios. Potential drivers will drive the bus around the lot, and there will be on-site interviews for those who would like to move forward with potential employment. Diesel work and general work on vehicles over 20,000lbs. The white fleet mechanic is general work on vehicles less than 20,000lbs 90% of our bus fleet is propane, which is basically a gas engine converted. Training opportunities are provided to bring someone up to speed on the fleet make-up.

Looking for a couple people who are computer/tech savvy that would be interested in working for a school district. Would require learning to drive a school bus, but would primarily be in the office working on routing software, dispatching and a variety of other technical pieces used within our office setting. I will train everything needed, but good computer skills are a must. Great gig for a kid fresh out of college or someone wanting to be on a similar work schedules as their kids.
