Your right they don't make them any longer. But it hasn't been that long, 8 years. But leica still has the ability if needed to perform repairs. And I'll be straight forward all Leica glass is top of the line. This stuff is unbelievable. It's amazing the amount of clarity that this product has, plus the field of view. By far this is my most favorite piece of glass that I have ever owned.
