    Who is ready for august

We are getting there! Been doing some scouting and seen plenty of deer and a fair share of buck hitting the water we plan on sitting. But it will have to be something big to end the year!

    Best tactic for bowhunting coues?

If you can find a trail or water source being used daily by multiple deer a treestand or blind is a great option if you have the patience! If not I always like to spot n stalk mornings and evenings and sit water during the day that way you have the best of both worlds! Setting up a treestand takes a lot of scouting but if you do it right it can really pay off! If your looking to set up trail cams I suggest using more than 1 if possible so you aren't limited to one area! Just my opinion!

Not sure if you have heard of Strother but they make one great bow! Just bought myself a 2012 Strother Wrath this bow has an 8" Brace Height and still has an IBO rating of 330! Thats ridiculous! The strother 2012 line-up is as good as it gets with the new Badger Cam they came out with. Smooth draw all the way through with a short valley and the bow is dead in your hand at full draw! Plus they are not as expensive as the new hoyts, mathews, or bowtechs! If you have any ?'s on them shoot me a message or check out archerytalk.com lots of greeat info on that website!

    Mormon Lake Area

So I was up by mormon lake for a week helping teach the archery Merit Badge at a scout camp for my church! I thought I would go out a couple evening and try and find some bulls! Saw plenty of elk and deer but found one impressive group of 12 bulls! Most were a 1/4 of the way done growing but one was a 6x6 probably half way done growing and looks like he will go around 360! Great trip overall helping teach the archery Merit Badge, seeing some bulls and I got to take a coyote out while glassing one evening!

    Mormon Lake Area

Vowell: We mainly saw bulls around 25 of them and probably 20 cows! Found a lot of bear scat but no bears! Flatlander: I did the exact same thing with my dad this week Im 19 and he is 46 It was great to spend time with him and shoot our bows! As for teaches the kids it took patience at first but once they got the hang of it they were doing awesome! I know what you mean about the string lol making the arrow isnt to bad though!

    Mechanical or Fixed Broadhead

G5 montec cs for fixed they fly just like feild tips and have great penetration! Also slick tricks a a very reliable fixed blade as well! As for mechanical I would go with something like a shwacker!

    Anyone shoot a strother?

I did have a high quality PSE I had the 2012 Brute X. Which dont get me wrong was a great bow for the money but nothing compared to py wrath the bow absolutely shoots! The thing is dead silent and very steady at full draw. Plus an 8" Brace Height with an IBO rating of 330FPS!!! Im currently have my bow maxed out at 65#s and 29" shooting a 435grn easton axis nfused 340 at 275FPS not bad at all!
