Hard horned and velvet bulls!

Lance is much easier than that. A pile of enchiladas and fresh, out of the oven, chocolate chip cookies is all I had to give him for the location of bone-head. Of course since I didn't draw this year, I'll wait until next to go get him. -
Pertinent Trivia Question #3
Tines replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I doubt Ol' Aldo would have ever said anything like that. He was very PRO hunting. And none of the other guesses are right either. Don't forget; no googling! -TONY Actually Aldo said something VERY similar to what was said. I'll get the quote for you when I get home from work................Friday. He was pretty outspoken about wildlife conservation and respect that all animals deserve..... even those most of us feel are nuisances. “The time will come when public opinion will no longer tolerate amusements based on the mistreatment and killing of animals. The time will come, but when? When will we reach the point that hunting, the pleasure in killing animals for sport, will be regarded as a mental aberration?” This may be a slap in the face to some but how is taking pleasure in killing an animal for sport NOT a mental aberration? -

What's the Vortex cost? It doesn't matter to me what you buy but most look great in the store (if you know what I mean). Good luck and let us know how you like it.

I've got the 1". My brother has the 30mm. Our 6.5-20's seem comparable in accuracy. Not sure the price difference, but you can't go wrong with the 30mm I guess

I own one. I've only had it for a year now but it gets the job done for sure.

Do us all a favor, keep the music down. Sound carries a long ways at night. Why do some people find it necessary to blare their music while camping/hunting? I thought most of us grew out of that when we left high-school. Trust me, I like the fact that many hunters are too tired or hung-over to make it out before first light. Keep yourself up as long as you'd like but error on the side of caution when it pertains to other camps/hunters that may be affected. If you're the loud type, camp away from the hills out of respect for other camps and the animals (regardless of whether they're affected, which I believe they are, or not). Sorry if I offended you partner, but there's no need for that in the field. If it's still your cup of tea, I hear "pump station" throws some rockin' keggers where no one cares how loud you are!

Not sure what the deal is. I can't submit anymore pics. Let me know if you'd like to see more and I'll email them. Thanks

I think it's Lim, not Lynn. No big deal unless you're him, I guess ; ) I saw the pic and from what I remember it was a great buck!

It had a black tail or a MD tail/rump? I've seen coues deer with real dark, (looks black in comparison with the rest of the hide) but they're still coues deer. I've also seen them run together, can't recall seeing them run together this time of year though. From what I've read, the only way to find out is by the metatarsal (sp?) gland. Good luck shooting one. Awesome pics for your fist time!!!

Just what I was going to say. Looks good, Brian. Too bad some people, if they can't steal it, still have access to destroy it! -
Lance has just an easy time getting on those bucks with archery gear as he does pulling an Oct tag. Maybe he'll share the wealth this year!!!

I know that a box of shells for my .338 went up almost $20 in less than a year. Sucks

A few years ago I went to a place on Oracle/Limberlost area (west side of Oracle). Can't remember the name. Don't go there!!!

I'd post the dirty theives face on every site I could find! -
I have this Browning Eclipse SL-36 RH in 29" and 70lbs. It's about 4 years old. Very well taken care of and properly maintained. Very little wear and tear. This bow shot real well for me but I haven't shot it in about a year and think it could be put to use in someone else's hands instead of mine. Cable and string are in excellent shape. Cable is actually WC. Comes with Limb Savers, string for fall away, peep, loop and wrist sling. Can be adjusted from 28"-30" without a bow press. Take it all for $200 obo!!!!! Hurry up, the season's right around the corner!

.........someday I'll draw a tag
-
I'm lost here. If nothing had moved, what did you adjust to make it shoot well again? A bow is a simple machine. It's like a car. If you maintain it well and it's properly tuned, mechanically it will perform the same. Applicable to the operator as well.

I must have missed the answer to this. In regards to those who applied on-line before the G&F killed it and went to paper apps. What if an application is drawn and all are required to go down to the G&F and pay with cash or check but 1 or 2 on the application doesn't have the money? Do those on the application who HAVE the money walk away with a tag while those who are broke walk away empty handed? How is this going to work in relation to allocated and leftover permits? Hope this made sense. If not, I'll have my wife explain it since she understands me perfectly well!

I'm not concerned about anyone on my application. Just trying to get a general idea since this is more like an Idaho draw than the traditional. I can only imagine this will turn into a cluster.
