Forgot to mention. As soon as you feel like the mechanics are natural and you've stopped "aiming", then throw the sight back on and see how you do from there
-
I haven't read all of the responses. So forgive me if it's already been mentioned. I dealt with it a long time ago after a release I shot for a few years failed on me. I was never able to get that release to pull the same. I developed some bad habits after that. A pretty well renowned archery coach suggested this one thing and it worked wonders for me: Pull your sight off. Some people call it "blank bail". Get 10-15yds from your target and shoot instinctive. Focus on the mechanics of pulling through the shot as opposed to aiming (hence pulling your sight off). Good luck! It can be beat! Now I'm just a controlled trigger puncher. ; ).

I need to change my set-up and all of you tech gurus need to chime in! Currently when I check my SD cards, I use my digital camera. It seems to be the fastest for me right now but the screen is so small!. I did buy an SD card adapter for my older iPad and it worked fine, however, it would download ALL of the pics onto the iPad and save them so I could then view them. I think it actually took longer than the digital camera method and there were a TON of pics I didn't want. But I did like having the bigger screen. I use an iPhone 6 for my phone and I've heard that some of those SD adapters really aren't compatible with phones?? But some are?? Not to mention, I don't want them to automatically download to my phone when I plug it in. And I'd like a bigger screen. This is what I need: 1. 8+ inch screen for viewing. But probably not bigger than 12" (easily packable). 2. A simple "plug the card in and view" type set-up. Even if I have to buy the adapter, I'm okay with that. 3. I'd like it to be wiFi compatible. Thanks for the help, guys!

Much newer than mine. Ha! Do the pics have to download/save first or can you just view the card?

Elkaddict, Which model iPad? Like I mentioned before, I had an older version. In fact, so old I can't update it any longer. Are the newer iPads a little more user friendly with what I'm trying to do? Thanks.

Cool, thanks Kevin. I'll check that out

Successful hunters keep secrets because they know better, that's why. If you don't understand it's because you haven't "been there". Not saying you're a poor hunter or wknd warrior. It's just this: you haven't had a reason NOT to. Outfitters aren't as concerned because it sometimes benefits them in the end, obviously. Keep your pearls to yourself, that's all. gotcoues took the words out of my mouth with draw odds. But just to take it further. Anyone wanna elaborate what happened to 36c after a specific buck (or two) were killed out of there quite a few years ago? It's just the world we live in now

No wonder I couldn't find the match. This is off my 2014 buck. I found the left side last August. This is his 2012 set, btw. Look everywhere, guys. You never know where they might lay! Thanks to my buddy Mark who always seems to destory me when we look for sheds, he found the match last week on a trip we took.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic. GIGANTIC deer but not the new world record.

Looking back at the original post of this thread, it's hard to ask for a story when it wasn't someone directly involved who started it to begin with. Or maybe they were?? Idk. That said, obviously some who've responded know the story and for one reason or another don't feel inclined to share. That's their deal. Listen, I'm happy for the guy. And for those involved who didn't pull the trigger, I can only dream that someday I'll get to watch a buck like that through the binos, let alone wrap my tag around one. Congrats to you guys and you should feel honored. But as long as you put a buck of that caliber on a COUES deer site and feel it's important to let everyone know you were involved (watermarks, comments or whatever), tell us of the adventure! Haters will hate. And I hope that's not how my posts are coming across. I don't need to tear anyone else down to make my puny bucks seem more legit. My only suggestion was a story goes a long ways. That's all.

Here's my opinion: A story goes a LONG ways. Whether A3 found the buck or some punk teenager from Round Valley did while off-roading, let's hear the story! These animals are incredible and deserve so much more attention than a price tag or a watermark. Don't get me wrong, I get why watermarks are used. But we also need to understand the unintended consequences of slapping a name or logo on a pic. It's a double-edged sword. We talk about the time and effort it takes to make it happen. And I believe that. But these bucks are rarely as historical as their story, IMO. If A3 was simply an in-between man or "booking agent" on any animal of this caliber, I don't really care. I really don't! They've found a niche and it's working. But if it did begin with some kid who stumbled upon a shed, or got a TC pic of the buck a few years ago...now THAT would go a long ways for me. I'm not implying anything, either. I don't know the story nor have I heard anything. But that's what I'd LOVE to hear. Giving 100% credit where it's due instead of assumed is highly respectable in my book.

What an amazing deer! Speechless...
