Maybe this is what I read. But I thought i remember reading somewhere else that a "citizens arrest" can't be done ever. Its kind of a "myth" per se. Maybe that's what the kids attorny is arguing?? Didnt mean to distract from the original idea of theives being caught red-handed is perfect! Just thinking out loud.

Probably has an ID collar as well. Stop and call the number. Probably too late by now. Sometimes throwing them in your truck isn't recommended either as there might be a houndsman not far tracking him down.

Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. I didn't go to school there let alone graduate from there but I know where the campus is because I drive by it when I am delivering pizzas. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. I never buy any tickets to see them play in person but I watch some of their games on tv. You know tickets are expensive and tips haven't been all that good. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. I don't work there but I wear shirts and hats that were given to me as Christmas and Birthday presents. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. We (well they) won the National Championship in baseball this year but I never went to any games (see ticket expense above) and I can't name any of the players on the team. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. I rioted in 1997 when they won the National Championship in basketball but I didn't pick them in my bracket to win it all. Nope, you guessed it. I did not have them going to the Final 4 in my 2011 bracket either. Man, I can't believe it. I could have won some real money if I could have just got all those 1st and 2nd round upsets out of my memory. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. Rose Bowl, what's that? I think it is something my wife uses to plant her flowers in. Yea, I'm a die hard/real fan. I did get to go to one game. Someone gave me a ticket to the OR football game a couple years ago. We rushed the field in the 4th qtr. Oh wait, we (they) lost that game and I got to spend the night in jail for hitting an OR cheerleader in the head with a bottle of water. BUT YEA, HECK YEA, I'M A DIE HARD/REAL FAN!!! NOGALES NORTH ALL THE WAY BABY!!! The 2001 riot was WAY better.....

Pretty sure the RIFLE hunt starts the 2nd and the new muzzleloader hunt starts the 16th of November.

I don't have a problem with people hunting mule deer. I took a good mule deer buck with my bow in January. It's been my opinion for that past 10yrs that a mature desert mule deer buck is the hardest trophy class animal to take in Arizona. I also spend every year on the kaibab. Amazing animals! I just don't like what they're doing in 33 at all. I don't care if there's 2 million WT in the unit. The problem is MOST of those bucks won't be accessed because of terrain and hunters not capable or willing. So your popular areas just get more popular and the quality of a hunt gets driven down. It's gonna be like hunting "quality" bulls on public land in Colorado.

Go on YouTube and search "hybrid buck in southern Arizona". I videoed this buck last year. It was WAY cool to see him in the field and that I had my camera with me. As far as in your neck of the woods, there's nothing saying that can't cross-breed up there.

The Frenchman who won it for them actually had his string built by my buddies string server the "moto" from Outer Limit Archery. Pretty cool even though the French won.

Maybe this tag got overlooked amongst some who would like it. But IMO, there's a reason almost 3/4 of the permits weren't taken. And I think Rombo's clan took the rest! I'm exaggerating, sort of. I personally dont care for this hunt as its just one more hunt in 33 where wt can be chased with a firearm. If I understand everything, there's essentially 1775 WT permits in 33 for 30 days straight hunting (nov 9- dec 9). This also isn't considering the 150 jr tags in the middle of October OR the archery hunters that will hit it in August/september and Dec/Jan. Anyway, I'm sure some will do okay and I'm sure a big buck or two will get shot, but few and far between. Many will probably chase wt with the idea that fewer hunters are in the field. That's why I'd do it, anyway.

I'm no expert, and all of you software geeks don't laugh at me, but here are some thoughts as I'm not totally familiar with the "system" either. A guy I used to hunt with was a pretty smart dude. Probably why he "used" to hunt with me. Ha! Anyway, he used to think that the program written that randomly issues these numbers for each application or BP might be attracted to a certain group of numbers, series of numbers in a certain order and so on. So if a certain program (or algarithm, as he called it) seemed to "like" the numbers 8,7,20 and 9 better than 4,3,6 and 0, I'd have a pretty good chance at being issued a lower randomly generated number because my birthday is 08/20/1979. Did that make sense? Or, maybe those numbers (or series of numbers) are located in a SS#. Either way, one or both of those two sets of numbers (bday and SS#) is what identifies the application or applicant. This is just a theory. It made sense in my head. But after explaining it to a friend of mine who actually watched how the process took place, he thought I was crazy. I'm with you, Brian. Something doesn't seem right. Maybe it IS an inherent flaw in the program or something. 7-8 yrs with December tags is CRAZY! I've drawn 3 in 18 yrs. Two happened to be back-to-back.

Still trying to find that buck in velvet, dangit! My brother, however, did shoot one of those other bucks in velvet and he was just shy of 100". And the heavy buck was much bigger. As for the music. Edge of tour seat, huh?? Haha! It's hard to find some that isn't copyrighted. And I actually don't like country music so you get what you get! ; ). Thanks for watching anyway! -
Just make sure you're in the right unit.... Good luck!

City workers cut to minimum wage salaries

If I were in that situation, I'd become a landscaper real quick or my landscape is going to look rather poor. I realize this is a touchy subject. We have many on this site who earn an honest wage by working their tail off everyday in a variety of professions; some multiple jobs. Earning an honest wage during these times is commendable, to say the least. I don't like the sound of anyone losing pay or their job. But we can't lose sight of what core services really are. Regardless of emotional attachments. I grew up on a farm watching my dad wake up at 2am during the summer time to irrigate, then drive a tractor for the remainder of the day. He usually strolled in the front door sometime in the evening for dinner, then went to bed after that. I'll never forget how tired my dad always seemed but he never quit and always seemed to find time to throw a baseball with me. An example I'll always remember. He supported 7 of us kids on very little while my mother stayed home for the most part to "keep us in line". I'm pretty sure my mom never left the kitchen and there was never a time she wasn't wearing an apron. Some years we were poor, the rest of the time we were broke. Ha! But you can ask all of my siblings, we had what we needed. Eventually he was basically forced to resign after 17yrs and start over. All of this taught me two things- don't be a farmer and choose a stable profession. It took me a while but I believe I've found a "stable profession". Those of you who are young (or not) and contemplating a career, consider these difficult times and take notes on what historically does well and what might not. IMO, choose a profession that you can make a difference in for the better, not to increase the balance of your checking account. It does mean something at the end of the day, I guaruntee it. You know what it's like to wake up in the morning and NOT want to go to work? I haven't felt that in 6 yrs. We're reaping what we've sown. Americans have become less self-reliant and more self-involved quicker than most nations ever have. It's never a good combination. Greed will be the fall of any nation, government or body (individually or collectively). We're a nation of "too much". Take your pick on which fat could be trimmed. Probably everywhere, but some more than others makes the most logical sense. I'd start with the top and work my way down..... -
City workers cut to minimum wage salaries

This hits a little too close to home. Paying a full-time police or fireman $7.50hr is just ridiculous. I'm not a proponent of allowing these guys to retire at "108%" but I do support the idea that they're compensated appropriately. If you find that too vague, just try justifying minimum wage the next time you dial 911 because your child stopped breathing, house is on fire or someone's breaking into your house. Don't get me started on how often those scenarios might happen. That will never cross your mind if God forbid it does. What terrifies me more than $7.50 an hr is a mayor or city council that finds this to be a good idea. What else might they consider? Sounds like a thoughtless, knee jerk reaction. If you think you're paying a police or fireman to eat doughnuts or pose for a calendar, think again. To many, 911 is a number to call when there's a life or property in danger. To the rest, 911 is a number to call to fix ANY situation. Either one, they still respond, 24-7. Whether its a simple water leak (although I'm NOT implying 911 is the most appropriate number for this) or you've rolled your family car and wife and child are trapped, do you want the minimum wage employee showing up or a trained professional? Just sayin -
Great binos! Not to hijack your thread and I hope you do sell them. But your asking price is quite steep. Look around at what others have sold for. Good luck!

Here's a quick video thrown together of some recent hunts and pictures. You'll see some fantastic bulls; some still alive, others that are quite photogenic . Enjoy!

No matter the outcome, it might be safe to say they weren't "overrated".

Bows are pretty simple machines. If you shot this bow 75-100 times and then it started doing this, more than likely something wasn't right after the shop threw it back together in the first place (you just didn't notice). What you see "within specs" doesn't always mean draw length, weight and axle to axle. Take it to a reputable place with a tech who knows what they're doing and I'm sure it'll be figured out rather quickly. My guess is you've either got it strung through wrong or cam lean -
Spoken like a true fan (and player) of the sport. Giving credit where it's due goes a long ways in my book.

It's different in that in 20% bonus pass with sheep it is 20% of the total amount of sheep tags instead of 20% of each units tags. So as history has shown the more popular "trophy" sheep units usually all go to the max point holders. Like unit 22, all three tags usually go in the 20% max bonus pass so there are no tags available for the remaining 1-2 bonus pass. However it is not guaranteed to happen this way but usually does. Brian Thanks for the explanation, Brian. I'll still cross my fingers and hope my measly 13 points gets me somewhere.

I don't understand how there's a "max points advantage" for sheep other than more random numbers in the draw?? "Max points" for sheep doesn't give you an advantage like it would for most other AZ species. On a side note, good luck with the draw and hunting with your bow. AWESOME!!
