Congrats on the deer and the new addition! I have my 2nd one coming in June. My first was born in September, the Monday after the opening weekend of archery elk, so I knew I won't be elk hunting that year.

PSEHunter, I was in 33 on Dec. 30 and watched a good buck mount a doe. I guess you could say the rut is definitely on in 33.

Congrats!! My son is 2 and I can't wait (even though he is growing up too fast as it is) until I can take him out.

Last year I saw rutting behavior on the very last day of January. It was a fast and furious and the middle of the month, but the bucks were still around the does. What kind of knee surgery did you have? I have had 4. Two ACL replacements and two scopes. My first ACL was in June of '00 and I was hunting elk by September. My second ACL was in May of '03 and then had my knee scoped again on July 31, 2003 and I was able to hunt elk again in September, but that was really rough and frustrating. The knee was still pretty sore and weak.

I'm going to be in 36A on Friday with my bow and then heading to 27 on Monday for a couple of days to join a buddy of mine on his late hunt. I'll have my bow in hand as well for that one. I'm sure I'll be spending some time out and about during December since I have the next two weeks off !! Good luck to everyone and Happy Holidays!

Are you talking about the Archery Center of Tucson? If so, it moved. It is located just east of Craycroft on the south side of Speedway.

Amanda, That is the buck I was talking about. Bradley was the name that I saw on another thread. I saw the pictures in person at work but was never told the name of the hunter that shot the deer. I was told that it was shot somewhere near Wilcox, but wasn't given any specifics on what unit and I didn't ask. Sorry for any confusion. Matt

I heard the Bradley buck was shot near Wilcox, didn't say what unit it was in. I work with the wife of the guy that is doing the taxidermy. I could be wrong though.
