Just My $.02. You have already heard a lot of great advice. If you are replacing the tires, see if you can get a cheap used rim that you can transfer one of the existing tires onto so you can have two spares. You can never have too many backups. It is miserable spending valuable hunting time trying to track down a trailer tire if you do have a blowout on the way to your hunt. You can put your spare on and get to your camping spot, but then you are concerned about the trip home without a spare so you end up heading to town on Friday or Saturday during the hunt trying to get another tire. In the long run you will be glad you have an extra spare and will be $ ahead. Next most important thing is an extra battery or a small generator to charge the batteries on your trailer. The heater fan will drain your batteries usually in a single night, and if you don't have a way to charge them, you will be out of luck the rest of the time and not have power for the heater, lights, water pump or anything else that needs power. A small propane heater is a good choice too, it is hard to regulate the temperature with them, but if you have one, I would definitely bring it. Water might be hard to come by in Forest Lakes, and depending on the size of your fresh water tank it may not make a huge difference in the weight. Most of the trailers from that era usually hold between 25 and 40 gallons, so total weight at 8 lbs per gallon would be between 200 to 320 lbs. For me, knowing that I have the water is comforting. Good luck on your hunt!

1000 WATT YAMAHA GENERATOR VERY QUIET AND RELIABLE SIMILAR TO THE HONDA 1000 LIGHTWEIGHT AND VERY FUEL EFFICIENT $250.00 I AM READY TO SELL THIS GREAT RUNNING LITTLE GENERATOR. WE NO LONGER NEED IT AND IT IS JUST COLLECTING DUST IN THE GARAGE. IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 8 HOURS ON 1 GALLON OF GAS. IT IS VERY EASY TO START, IN FACT MY FIVE YEAR OLD CAN PULL START IT! THIS UNIT IS VERY HANDY FOR RUNNING A TV WHEN OUT CAMPING OR FOR KEEPING YOUR BATTERIES ON YOUR CAMP TRAILER TOPPED OFF WHILE DRY CAMPING. WE USED IT ON SOME COLD NIGHTS ON A KIABAB NOVEMBER HUNT TO KEEP THE FORCED AIR HEATER ON THE TRAILER FROM DRAINING THE BATTERIES AT NIGHT AND LEAVING US WITHOUT HEAT. WE WOULD TOP IT OFF WITH GAS BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP AND LET IT RUN ALL NIGHT KEEPING THE BATTERIES FROM GOING DEAD AND YOU COULD BARELY HEAR IT RUNNING OUTSIDE THE TRAILER. THE ONLY ISSUE IT SEEMS TO HAVE IS THAT IF I STORE IT WITH ANY FUEL IN IT(ALWAYS WITH FUEL STABILIZER) IT MAKES MY GARAGE SMELL LIKE GAS. I JUST STARTED LETTING IT RUN COMPLETELY OUT OF FUEL AND I HAVEN'T HAD THE PROBLEM SINCE. IT RUNS FINE, BUT I JUST NOTICE THAT MY GARAGE SMELLS LIKE GAS IF I LEAVE FUEL IN IT WHEN IT IS STORED IN THERE. IT IS PROBABLY A VERY EASY FIX, BUT IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL TO ME. I DON'T USE IT ANYMORE, SO HOPEFULLY SOMEONE ELSE CAN ENJOY IT. $250.00 GIVE ME A CALL WITH QUESTIONS

Looks like a nice rifle at a great price. Somebody will snatch it up!

Nope, I don't think he was. In fact, it is correct how he has it. The Forest Service was building new campgrounds far from water, not wanting campers to use "buildings far from water." Also, it is "believe" not "belive". Bill, thank you very much for the post. I really enjoyed the read!

For Sale: An excellent pair of 10X50's. I am the original owner. Purchased from Cabelas in 2005 or 2006. They are in great shape, and very good all around glass. I am selling to get a set of 15's. I can send more pics if you like. No shipping. $1100.00. Only consider Swarovski 15's for trade, of course I would be willing to put cash in the deal too.
