I do not post on this site often, but I am on CWT almost daily. Something like this post may have been posted in the past, so I apologize if I am bringing up old issues, but why do so many people get on this forum to just talk s**t!? A majority of the people who post regularly on here, are ethical, upstanding hunters that contribute solid posts, but why on earth do some people waste their time to piss on other people's achievements, or to simply post negative crap? If you want to gossip, or be a ---, join facebook. Hunting is a tradition that goes back thousands of years, to when it was a necessary facet of survival. In the past hundred and fifty years, it has been cemented in our society as a true sporting tradition. Most of our father's and grandfather's taught us many life lessons while in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, whatever activity it may have been. To most of us hunting is beyond a way-of-life, it-helped-mold our lives. I am not trying to be overly profound here, or start some big debate. All I ask is that next time you find yourself wanting to argue via CWT take a minute to reflect on those days you spent in the back-country with your dad, or your grandfather; remember how proud you felt when they witnessed your first kill, or second, or third, and how BIG of a deal they made it seem no matter how big the rack, or how much it weighed; take a minute to reflect on why it is that you hunt and what brought you to hunting; what family traditions surround it. If after all of that, you still feel the urge to share your negativity with all of us on CWT, just remember: facebook is only a click away. There are plenty of idiots on there that would love to argue with you and soak up that negativity! This forum is to promote our love for hunting and share that love with others who feel the same way. Again, just a thought.....

Looks like a nice lion to me too! They roam a lot, so who knows, he may never came back, but chances are since there is water and deer he will stick around the general area.

Haha I love it! Good luck baggin' him!

You don't have the power or influence to anger anybody, you are just an annoyance. Stay as long as want, I think this is great, but I hope you have other outlets of entertainment. If this is a cry for help, we are here for you bud. We all think you are a manly hunter, and only wish we had the old school knowledge and hunting wisdom that you carry. I hope that strokes your ego my friend. Your posts have changed my thinking completely on the usage of camera's and from now on, I will only sit at funnels and saddles waiting on deer to cross my path. Using a camera to locate deer is EXACTLY the same as shooting a fenced deer in Texas, thank you for opening my eyes. In fact, Im not going to wear wimpy camo anymore either, only flannels and levi's, because anything that gives you an upper hand on game is wimpy. How could I have been so stupid all these years? dont be so hard on yourself davie. its just the wimpiness leaving your body. youll get there someday. til then youre still a wimp. Got me there, ouch! Be good bud, Im not gonna waste time going back and forth. You have your style, I have mine. We don't have to put each other down for it. Can't wait to read your future posts! Take care now, KD

Glad your son did the right thing. What does Game and Fish do in that situation, will they do what they can to save her, or will they put her down because it is cheaper?

That tag is interesting....Not sure what it means here is AZ, but when I lived in TX, ear tags on the deer or elk (in the Alpine area) meant they were "owned" by somebody. Usually high or low fence animals that escaped. Maybe Game and Fish are studying her?

I made this video of my lion hunt, to help my buddy get his guide business going. We were only going to film "filler" footage this day, so we had all of the non-hunting shots completed before we really hit it hard. Amazingly, we were on a cat within 15 minutes of entering the canyons. So needless to say there is not the right shots and footage we wanted, but we made due with what we had. The kill was a bit messy, so it was edited accordingly. Let me know what you think. Sidebar: This film was shot in full HD, but in order to upload it I had to lower the quality. If you are interested in having me film any of your hunts, let me know. I can film them in full HD and have them on DVD quickly. Its a great way to preserve your hunting memories.

So I am wondering if anybody out there can give me some advice on my mountain lion. I really want to rug him, but I dont want to drop all of the money into right now. Is it smart, or even possible to get it tanned now and and then save him to rug it down the road? I really want to preserve it, and my wife wants it out of the freezer. Trying to weigh my options....Does anybody have any cool ideas to do something different with the hide itself? It is not a particularly big lion 75 pounds or so. Any advice or suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks, Kris

I know where there are some decent pockets of deer out there. If this map I attached doesn't help any, I can draw you a map. There are some really great deer in that unit, don't sell it short. I glassed up a monster on the last day of the hunt, but he was 600+ yards away and flew out by the time I worked my way to a shooting position. Let me know if this isn't good enough.......Ok, it would let me upload it. PM me your email address, and I will hook you up bud. Kris

These are literally brand new, size Large. I wore them on one muley hunt last year, brought them home, recharged them and they have been in the scent proof duffle-bag every since. Hate to sell them, but need some cold weather gear for a hunt in Canada. Asking $140 for the set. Pics Attached. Thanks!

SOLD! Thanks to Kidso and everybody who checked out my post.

Yes they would, they are cut 34-36 and have side gussets to cinch them down if need be. I am holding them for another member, who is checking them out tomorrow to make sure they fit. If he doesn't want them for some reason, I will let you know. Thanks a lot for the interest. Kris
