Local Lady Coues Hunter Needs Your Help!
grizzly replied to gilaarcher's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Got votes from me, my wife, and my daughter. Tried to fill it out for my brother but it said only 3 per IP address. She needs a big surge here guys, get your family members to vote for her too, even if it takes a little "help" from you! -
Right handed, no letoff so any draw length can shoot it.

Greenfield and Brown in Mesa, my kids have had their elementary school go on lockdown a couple times in the last few years cause of pigs. I jumped them one night about 11 crossing Brown rd along the canal.

Truck and Trailer with big CW.com stickers!
grizzly replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Sticker Sightings!
Saw Mason in NE Mesa yesterday, pulled up next to him and yelled Coues Whitetail and gave him a wave. Pretty cool to see the brotherhood. -
Killed a deer a few years ago with a Rocket Steelhead. Cant beat them at the price point, you can find a 3 pack on ebay for about $20 delivered.

I am laughing my butt off right now reading this! That is an awesome story and I only hope to run into these "ladies" the next time I shoot a deer. They think the sight of a dying deer is traumatic, wait til they get aload of me.

There shouldnt be any break in needed with a WC string. Sounds like something isnt quite in spec.

Lot of money but even in this economy some people will find an excuse to buy it. As long as they have their other offerings at normal rates then who really cares about the freak of a price tag bow? I really like the looks of the Conquest Triumph from last year but at almost $1300 there was just no way. But nobody complained about that one cause it wasnt their main line bow. I wonder if there is some collusion going on with the big companies. I can see Mathews calling up Hoyt, "Yeah maybe $1700 was pretty good, but watch this!"

My brother goes down every year and I keep trying to talk him out of it. Mexico is a third world country that doesnt let you defend yourself. I am fluent in Spanish and have several friends who are from Mexico, both legal and illegal, but you could not pay me enough to go down to Mexico.

Congratulations and welcome to the ranks. What is your draw length? Dont get too hung up on how close you can get to IBO, you will find that the heavier your arrows are the quieter you will be at the shot. I have also found that heavier arrows tend to group better than lighter ones. I think you will have alot of fun figuring out all of that cool stuff by yourself and seeing what works and what doesnt. Hopefully you will be posting up some pics in Dec of a nice deer.

Wondering how to close that last bit of ground to get within shooting distance of that monster? This is how. $60 for decoy and bow mount.

I stalked up to 20 yards on a couple of feeding does with this on my bow. The idea is solid and it certainly works, just couldnt get my bow to tune with it attached.

Both packs are in great shape, JO seen one hunt, Slingshot seen 3 or 4. No rips tears or stains anywhere, just a little dusty. Just One is the J105 model, has the rifle scabbard, pack can compress into a small daypack size or unzip into something big enough to fit a small Volkswagon. Need $200 for this one. Slingshot is a large fanny pack with shoulder harness that contains a butt bucket designed to hold your bow. Need $100 here. Both packs are hydration compatible, located in Mesa at Greenfield and Brown. Call or text Randy 480-695-7401.

Sold the Just One. Slingshot still available.

I shot them for a while after having shot CE Maximas for a few years. Good arrow, same weight as the CEs but about $40 cheaper per dozen. I also bought a dozen Easton Carbon Storms for $60 from Bear Mtn, figured I would shoot them in the backyard and save wear and tear on my expensive arrows, broken nocks and fletchings and the occassional block wall can get expensive in a hurry. Well pretty quickly I noticed tha the cheap Carbon Storms were quieter and more stable in flight and grouped better than any of the lighter arrows I had been shooting so they are now my hunting arrow, at about half the price of the Flatlines.

Mule deer hunter has a choice to make.....
grizzly replied to mulie hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Gee that sucks that you didnt get a Kaibab tag. I bet I know the reason why though, CAUSE I GOT IT!! Sorry to kick you while you are down but I just cant help telling everyone I meet. -
Could have been me, was it an older style ugly diesel Dodge with bondo all over the bed?

I got my wife a Martin Leopard, she hates camo so I ordered it in midnight blue. She is very proud of her bow and tells all of her friends about it, she shoots it maybe 5 or 6 times a year, and the best part is I got it brand new all set up for about $450. It is a very nice shooting bow.

Great training to get you ready for those high country hunts. 6' plus. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/bik/1795810669.html

I agree with BowNut, one big commercial. Talk about product placement, the guy comes in wearing a Hoyt hat and shirt and the shop they take it to talks about how its the greatest bow ever built. I wonder if it was Hoyts idea or the local pro shop.

I agree with the above, paper tuning is a waste of time. I have had my bows paper tuned at the proshop and they shoot horribly afterward. I went to one proshop with my Hoyt and they had the rest moved all the way to the left so it wouldnt even fall flat, it rested on the outside of the bow shelf, they kept telling me it shoots great through paper. I was unhappy with this so went to another proshop who proceeded to move the rest all the way to the right until it was actually hitting the riser and they then told me that it was now shooting bullets through paper. In neither of these instances did my arrows group well at all. I took it home and adjusted the rest as close to center as I could get it, then looked up walk back tuning and did that and had my arrows grouping well in less than an hour. To each his own, but I will never bother with paper again.

I waited til the last minute cause I want mine on the top!
