I couldnt get into my spot in 21 on Friday morning due to a small wash that was a raging torrent. Decided to try another spot that was higher up. Too bad the road was all clay. Got my front end sunk at 9 AM, tried all day to get out, my brother came and got me out at 7 PM, truck stayed the night on the mountain.

Nice try man but Im pretty sure thats him and I'll just have to trust my own judgement.

I think I was on that same deer about 3 weeks before season, he had a decent 3 point and a spike with him then. I hunted hard the first two days and never saw any of those 3. I was going to head up; this weekend after him but I may have to pack it in now. Shoot me a PM about the location, maybe save me a trip.

Ive had good luck with sheds in 23 looking around fences. When the deer jump the fence the landing will knock them off if already loose. Thats my theory anyway.

Just hunted two days in 21, saw one good buck and one small one. Both were seen middle of the day walking head down on the trail looking for some tail. Id say the rut is starting up there.

Is that Dysart and I-10 ? I saw one under constructon a month or so ago. Mesa is supposed to be getting a SW somewhere near Greenfield and Baseline? Ive been hefaring the rumors for a while but dont know any specifics.

I saw a couple of muley bucks on the south side of Dynamite rd about 3 years ago. One was a pretty tall and wide 3 x2. This was in 1st week of Feb, still had my bow and my archery tag in the truck but too late. Also seen quite a few deer in the Usery Mtn Park area, never seen any bucks but the park rangers say they have.

If you were shooting from above and held high Im not surprised you hit high, the ballistics are much different when shooting down/uphill. Hindsight is always easier to see what to do. But practicing up/downhill shots is important.
