So I noticed a story on the most dangerous North American hunts in the latest Outdoor Life and one of the hunts listed was the border hunts for coues and they quoted Amanda on what makes that hunt so dangerous. Very nice, always cool to see some good exposure.

Dont make the mistake of thinking that Game and Fish are trying to do whats best and just screwing up. I believe G&F has been infiltrated by anti-hunters who are trying to ruin the experience for us so we will give up and go do something else. I have dealt with people down there who didnt give a rip about what was going on and the only conclusion I could come to is they were going out of their way to be miserable and contentious. Of course not all are like that but it only takes a few in key places to ruin it for everyone.

I have the Minox 15X58 and am very depressed to hear that these wont work with the tripler, any way to modify the tripler to fit these binos or plans for Jim to make one that will fit?

A 300 mag handgun? That sounds like nuts to me! My 300 mag rifle kicks hard enough to make me think twice about pulling the trigger sometimes, I cant imagine less weight and no stock. I do think it would be fun to watch someone else shoot but I dont think I would want to shoot one myself. Good luck.

I just accepted a job offer with a plumbing company in Snowflake Az. Probably start in the next couple of weeks. Other than two years in Pennsylvania on a Mormon mission Ive never lived anywhere but Mesa, born and raised. Kind of scary but I know many people move all of the time. Driving back home tonight right before dark I was coming down off the rim and passed a herd of about 15 elk feeding on the side of the road and then a couple mule deer a few minutes later, made me feel better.

I dont have any employees and the few contractors that I have left I can pass on to some friends that are plumbers. I will be going back and forth for a few months to finish up some of the houses I have partially completed here in the valley. But I will put my license on hold with the Registrar of Contractors and then I have up to five years to reinstate it without retesting.

I wont miss the expo, first went 3 years ago. Last year got to meet and talk with Cameron Hanes and Chuck Adams, my two hunting idols. This year going to try to meet Randy Ulmer.

I saw a pic of a mule deer in Colorado that had gotten a purple volleyball net tangled up in his antlers, looked kind of like the twine hanging from that elk.

It worked with the first number, doesnt work with 86. Symbols next to the numbers change each time.

Thats a cool video! Looks like a Texas whitetail and by the size of his neck I would say he is so lovesick that that hunter is lucky he didnt become that bucks girlfriend.

If you could post an email address we could send our opinions to the park about this. I shoot at Usury Mtn frequently and would hate to lose this facility. I would like to join some of the 3D shoots out there but they all seem to fall on Sundays and I have conflicts with church schedule.

There are tons of shoots! I got all them off the Hoyt web site. I don't see any of the others giving who won and when they just advertise a % like you said. This is a hunting site anyway I should have left that off my post anyway. Consider yourself reprimanded.

You know I wonder about claims like this, I have read from Mathews and Martin very similar claims, " We win 95% of all tournaments in the last year" How many friggin tourneys are there? 658% of all tournaments are won by any of the top bows. I personally shoot a Mathews and have owned 5 or 6 of them so I know that I contribute to the problem, but I would like to know how they come to their certain conclusions.

Anyone seen the 119" coues shot around Tucson? Great story of the spot and stalk hunt by Marty Henrickson and great pics of an absolute toad. Has to be one of the hardest hunts in the US, spot and stalk coues with a bow, nice buck Marty.

Thanks for the heads up bowsniper but I was just lying in my post, I have a low self esteem problem and often come on these internet sights and spout off with all of the things that I have not really accomplished. In fact I am morbidly obese and live in Florida and whenever I leave the house the fire dept has to remove my wall so I can be hoisted out with a crane. Richard Simmons frequently visits me and tells me Im a beautiful person inside, so Im okay with it all. In fact my name isnt even grizzly. So I never really found a tortoise.

that is a cool tortoise shell, I had never seen one in the wild until last year when my buddies found three of them while we were pig hunting. Once you know what their burrows look like its pretty easy to find them. The first one we dug out and took him down to the corral near where we had parked and watched him walk around, the other two we just took pics in their dens and left them there.
