Wow that is an ircredibullllll!!!! David looks familiar, what is his last name. I know that I have seen him before.

I hunted down south a few years ago and saw all of the backpacks and jackets and other trash and the one thing I saw that I thought was really odd was all of the womens bras hanging in trees and bushes. Then I heard that the coyotes will rape the women they are bringing across and hang their bras in the bushes as a trophy. These are the types of people we are dealing with but you wont hear that from the mainstream media who want us to look the other way.

That happened to my buddy in high school, we were shooting a big metal pylon from about 60 yds with a .223 and the ricochet hit him in the gut. The heat of the slug cauterized the wound immediately and he was able to pull the slug out with his fingers, it only went in about 1/2". Still very scary for a second.

Y es todo. no mas! ellos ven a america para ganar dinero para la famila y nada mas! Y hacemos el trabajo que no quieren los gringos.

I did that same thing to the spare tire on the back of my camp trailer, but I only get 40 yards in my backyard.

I am going to be in Gilbert this afternoon at Val Vista and Riggs, I could stop by and look at it. I have installed lots of water softeners but never serviced any so maybe I can help or maybe not. Give me a call at 480-695-7401 and I will see what I can do.

No the bridge would be the salt crusting over at the top which means the float stops the water before it gets to the salt and the water doesnt ever touch the salt. So that probably is not it. Have you checked the float inside the white tube that is inside the brine tank? Maybe one of the hoses came loose inside there. Have you cycled it through manually to see if it is sucking the brine water out of the tank? Where in the valley do you live?

Try replacing the brine tank, they are very cheap (usually less than $20) and sometimes they create a salt bridge, where the salt crystals fuse together and dont dissolve and thats all you can do. Other than that most units are mechanical operation so there isnt alot to go wrong other than leaks or blockages. Hope this does the trick.

Wow that is beautiful. I would consider it a privilege to spend a day working up there, I am a plumbing contractor and could maybe hook you up with something. Are you using any trade contractors? How big is the house? Send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. -

Grizz-- I believe I've seen your rig out at Usery - Archery range... AzP&Y That would be me, I shoot there often. Thanks for noticing me. -
Bass Pro is fun to hang out at and anything Redhead is very affordable but I have not yet spent a dime there, (other than the shooting arcade upstairs) I still go to Sportsmans Warehouse.

I keep looking for others, I have mine on my back window but I think the Grizzly Plumbing magnets on the side or maybe all of the plumbing materials in the back catch all of the interest first. My red Dodge diesel will be noticed someday! Oh yes it will! -
Any dutch oven cooks out there?

My specialty is breakfast burritos. Fry up a little potatoes and sausage together with onions and garlic, after they are nice and crispy throw some scrambled eggs on top to cook. Melt some cheese on top and warm the flour tortillas on top while it cooks. MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm. -
The best thing we can do is vote out Gov Jano and vote for a governor who will appoint a pro-hunting wildlife director. Im not sure what the exact title is but I do believe it is her appointment that is filling up the offices that are ruining our hunting opportunities. It may take several years to get this back to where it should be but if we do nothing we will continue to get more of the same.

I agree, I have been thinking of posting something like this for a while. This is the greatest site I have ever encountered, small and tight knit, everyone shows respect for others, its kinda like living in a small town versus those New York city clowns at MM. I just hope those contentious few at MM dont ever find us here.

Colorado is beautiful. My inlaws moved to Crawford a few years ago and you can see the Gunnison range from there front porch in the distance. They have 40 acres and I think my mother-in-laws favorite new hobby is taking pics of deer and elk on her land just so she can send them to me and make me jealous. It must be working as I have tried to apply for several jobs in Colorado but no luck yet.

that one buck looks to be a bit of a piebald, or is it just the shadows? -
I have hunted in 30A for the last 2 years and have seen a few good bucks in there, I havent shot one out of there yet but my buddy has. One thing for sure is keep your camp locked up and keep a sidearm with you as you will not be alone.

Can an Archery Elk permit be converted?

Man I feel for your buddy, when I was a senior in HS I drew a dec deer tag then got really sick and had to undergo open heart surgery in November. I remember those loooong depressing days in the hospital and the agonizing few days after the surgery where I thought it would never end. I eventually got out and was able to hunt with a .223 but never got close enough to a deer to close the deal, still it was the time in the mountains that I remember. There is a show on the Mens Channel called Knockout Hunting with former heavyweight boxer Jerry Goff, the show is sponsored by a company called draw-loc bow, at drawloc.com. Many of the episodes feature physically handicapped people bowhunting, including one man with a completely paralyzed left arm (maybe polio?). If you have never seen the show go to drawloc.com and see the bow, this could be what your friend needs to be able to hunt. I wish him the best and hope that he makes it into the woods this fall. -

Randy Ulmer does a segment for Bowhunter TV called Dead On, I believe you can find those segments on the Bowhunter.com website. I have never seen a video for sale by him but you could check ebay or amazon. Good luck. -
Just a heads up, American Archer has a coues hunt in Mexico and I just saw the description for Hank Parker 3D which I rarely watch he is in southern Az on a coues hunt. I wonder how much Cmere Deer he is gonna hafta sprinkle out on the ground to get a coues to come in. I just set my tivo to record it for Sunday.
-
American Archer was sitting in blinds on water holes. Sure did make it look easy. Hank Parker 3D was spot and stalk with a bow, his two sons went down near the Catalinas it looked like and with the help of a guide and during the extremely wet rainy season a few years ago they were able to stalk within bow range and each get a buck. Looked alot easier than I remember.
-
Thanks for the heads up. Can I watch it at your house since I spend toooo much on hunting to afford cable and tivo? Always room for one more on the sofa, bring the chips and Ill get the salsa.

Wow, what a blast. It was fun to meet all of you guys and get to shoot with you. I will be there again next week for sure, probably with some friends. Thanks for the invite.

Best Archery Dealers/Shops in the Valley
grizzly replied to archeryasu's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Robert at Broken Arrow is a good guy, prices are right and I think he makes arrows better than anyone in the valley. Bear Mountain is a good shop if you deal with the right person. Jim Conway is the only person in the world I will let work on my bow, he is ususally only there a couple evenings a week but he is a great shooter and gives good pointers. Whoever you go with find someone you like and stick with that person. Good luck.
