Hello all, I got a 6A any turkey tag this year. I haven't hunted those birds in over 20 years. I will be using my old Ithaca 12 ga. 2 3/4". Since it has been awhile I am looking for recommendations on which round to use. Trying to get a feel for what everyone is using now for the 2 3/4" guns. Back in the day we used 00 buck but I am sure things have advanced and there might be something better now. Any suggestion would be great! Thanks, Benny.

Headed out to 6A. Saw a bunch of birds on an Elk hunt two years ago. Hopefully they haven't moved too far.

Has anyone ever hunted around Pepper Sauce Canyon for Javelina? I want to head out for a quick overnight hunt this weekend and it's a little closer than where I normally go in Unit 33. I've hunted Deer in that area but never really ran into many Javelina there. Just curious. Benny.

I took mine to Millers Southwest processing. This year I had the whole pig made into Black Pepper and Teriyaki Slim Jims. In the past I have them made into summer sausage. Real tasty that way.

Done a lot of bow hunting in there. Lot's of private land, but some of the land owners will let you go on their property if you ask first. Most said no driving on their land. Not sure about rifle hunts. The biggest deer I ever saw was in there. Good luck.
