That's awesome! Savage Axis II with the Muddy Girl stock? My daughter loves hers, although its the original Axis (youth model). A year later and she'd have picked that stock! Hers does great with Hornady factory ammo, but the loads I developed using RL15 are right around 0.5"! And love the Gila monster, too! I miss that about living in SE Arizona!

That's a black-throated sparrow. I thought five-striped at first, based on the head, but the big bib is the key. Five-striped sparrows have that little black dot. Because I'm a glutton for punishment, but believe strongly in the cause, I'm making aware that the NWTF AZ State Chapter is also holding a month-long gun raffle for the month of May. They are supposed to be called the moment they are drawn. I know my brother-in-law was drawn on one of the later-in-the-night drawings and got called the next day. If you want to PM me his info, I can call the RD doing the drawings. He should be able to walk into Sportsman's Warehouse and get it squared up. I think any of the Sportsman's will work, but I can find out when you send me his name.

Not sure if that was you and your party in two UTVs we ran into today on the 530 Rd, but man it was MESSY out there this morning! That's the most I've had to use 4-Low since I've lived in Arizona!

Back in February, we purchased my buddy's quad from him. Its a 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 650. While I've been known to ride quads for work and such in other states, this is my first time actually owning one. Long story short, he bought it brand new in Colorado, then moved to Utah (both of which have[had] COMPLETELY different laws than AZ) and just today, I was able to get it titled and registered to be street legal in Arizona. To actually be able to drive it now on "streets or highways", etc., I have to get the mirror(s) and horn, which I don't see as a big deal, and the license plate light. The license plate light is my bigger question. How has everyone else dealt with the license plate light requirement? I've done a quick search for license plate brackets and those seem easy and cheap, but I'm not seeing an easy solution to the license plate light issue, unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible after a long day today. I'm hoping someone hear has a clearer brain than mine right now.

My (then) 10-year old daughter got to shoot an AR platform in .300 Blackout with a can last summer at the range up here. I didn't get the privilege, but she turned around immediately yelling "I WANT ONE!!" I've heard mixed reviews and seen Barnes' advertisements for hogs, deer, and bear at closer range. I'm definitely interested in one, but not sure what I'd do with it in reality.

Hey all- I've been trying to contact muledeerman (John) for a about 3 weeks now. I've sent him a handful of PMs, but haven't heard anything back. He sent me a check for my Pretty Boy turkey decoy and when it was time to finalize meeting arrangements, he basically disappeared. I've sent him multiple messages because I cashed his check right away. The decoys are his and not going anywhere, but if something major has happened to him, can someone let me know so I can send the money back. I feel bad having cashed the check, but not getting him his decoys. If someone on here knows him and knows how to get ahold of him, can you let him know I'm trying to get in touch with him and/or let me know what's up? Trying to do the right thing here.

I finally took the time to read this entire thread. I'm so sorry for your loss, Amanda. I will own these tears welling up in my eyes right now. Your real nightmare was one of my biggest worries back when I did MSO surveys and had my German shepherds with me. We frequently found fresh tracks and I used to think that there was no way a lion would tangle with a GSD. I've lost two GSDs to cancer, so I know how much it sucks to make that decision before you are ready. I can't imagine having to stand there, watching it go down and not be able to help. My heart aches for you and your husband. If only dogs could live forever. My daughter asked me the other day "If you could have one superpower, what would it be?" I didn't know the answer then, but I know now that it would be to give dogs eternal life for all they do for us. My family and I are sending you our deepest condolences and best prayers.

You'd be surprised (or not) at some of the idiots we have in this town. Somebody stole the propane tank off our camper parked in front of our house 6 years ago. I'm glad you were able to track them down and the buyer was a good guy about it! And thanks for the heads up!
