Just over a week and a half until we draw and there are only 50 tickets left. Sportman's Warehouse is also partnering with us by donating an Elk Ridge -35 sleeping bag, with all proceeds going to our Women in the Outdoors group. Tickets are $2 each and the drawing will be April 11th at the Flagstaff SW Ladies Night.

I was reminded that today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. I always forget about it because every day was Vietnam Vets day growing up and it still is, at least to me. I was going through more pics again last night and came across these two pics. Yes, dad made my life heck growing up, but there were good times and the good times far outnumbered the bad times. It was more that when the bad times happened, they were beyond horrible, bu that's another story. You've heard me elude to it before in other posts. At the end of the day, he was, and always will be, my hero. He taught me more about life, being a man, being a dad, and being a leader than I'll ever be able to thank him for. I was raised, in no small part, by an entire company of hardened combat paratroopers. To all of you Vietnam Veteran's out there, thank you for all you have done, endured, suffered, and triumphed over. You have my deepest respect, admiration, and, yes, love. Here are a couple of pics of dad and his mortar squad laying down some hate on the NVA or VC (maybe both). My dad is the skinny guy in the front with the tattoo on his right arm.

Guess I should have clarified that it should have a side door in addition to the back doors. I've never seen them with only a side door, but I'm no trailer expert.

Our daughter's high school mountain biking team is looking for an enclosed cargo trailer with a side door for transporting bikes and gear to races next season. I told them I would put some feelers out here to see if anyone has any leads on used ones. Looking for a 5x8 with side door similar to the one I downloaded a picture of. If you have one for a reasonable price, or know someone who has a used one, please let me know. From what I understand, they are trying to save money and get a used one since the HS Mtb Team is not an official high school team and doesn't get the same funds. Their team is also a 501c(3) if anyone is feeling generous or knows a generous soul that would donate a trailer. Thanks for considering this. My wife has learned that there are great people here and now says things like "Can you check Coueswhitetail for..."!

My wife asked me if I'd heard anything, so I figured I'd bump this up. Pre-season rides and training are getting ready to start.

We have decided that the safe raffle has dragged on long enough. We will be drawing a winner on April 13th, regardless of how many tickets we've sold! Make sure and get your ticket soon if you want a chance at a great 48-gun Cannon Safe! https://www.naznwtf.org/shop?fbclid=IwAR2A5RGYXk9jMYX67DCAKwF5V-go_xepUgtKI-mePXtth7xh28RalsYnEkM

That's the definition we use in Hunter Ed; however, its also under review. There is no strong definition of what a road is anywhere in the AGFD regs. We've poured over that topic through the Hunter Ed Advisory Committee when looking at modifying the HE final exam. The only ARS-related definition is this: A.R.S. 28-601 22. "Roadway" means that portion of a highway that is improved, designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, exclusive of the berm or shoulder. If a highway includes two or more separate roadways, roadway refers to any such roadway separately but not to all such roadways collectively. A.R.S. 28-7201 Chapter 20 (State Highways and Routes) Article 8 (Disposition of Public Roadways) 4. "Roadway" includes all or part of a platted or designated public street, highway, alley, lane, parkway, avenue, road, sidewalk or other public way, whether or not it has been used as such. The inference that is being discussed is that a road is defined as anything on a map. Its been a sticking point for HE discussions and what to teach, especially when discussing common violations. My bigger question is: Who the heck tucks their ears up under their hats? Every time I see that, I want to go slap them. I'll take my cane and go back to the porch now.

I have a co-worker in our Regional Office in ABQ who's daughter had that hunt last year. I don't know if I still have the write-up he did, but it was an amazing adventure. She'll have a blast! Edit: Found the article! https://www.theoutdoorwire.com/features/3c255f3f-c0f9-462c-b01d-ef958371a626

I have a 1-lb container of Ramshot Big Game. My daughter's 7mm-08 doesn't like it. Its had exactly 9 rounds worth of powder used, so basically brand new. $25 OBO. In Flagstaff, but my wife and daughter will be in far west valley, near White Tank Mts next Saturday and Sunday.

Rifle has sold. I love it when I can help a friend and meet someone cool in the process. Congrats on completing Hunter Ed, Nash, and for your new rifle! Good luck! And thanks, again, Andrew (Flatlander)!

Both of my kids have the 6B Dec cow tag. They're excited!

Thanks. Going to sell my daughter's Ruckus and I'd never heard of the Ruckus Jr. Good luck with the sale! Her full-size Ruckus is great, so I have to assume the Ruckus Jr. is just as great!
-
Nikon P-223 is sold now, too. Aetec is all that's left. Price drop: $80 shipped.
-
Out of curiosity, what's the difference between a Ruckus and a Ruckus Jr? Smaller draw length and draw weight adjustments?

He's pushed my buttons enough to make me think about it before, that's for sure. Sorry, though, he's actually a keeper!

Rifle is sold. Scopes still available.

Believe it or not, the rings sold, too. Still working on plans to be in or drive through the valley during our spring break. Can deliver. Rifle should be sold tomorrow.
-
Shotgun has been sold. Rifle is SPF. Scopes and rings still available. Looking at a spring training game week of 16th during our spring break since camper is snowed in, so may be down in the valley.

And one more follow up. We still have several side streets, including many in our neighborhood, that have yet to see a plow after this storm. That's how busy the plows have been around town, including on the interstates. As of today, the interstates are in great shape. Most of the main streets are mostly in good shape in town, but there are still many turn lanes that haven't been cleared yet, and some main lanes are just now getting hit by plows and graders so we have access to the full lanes without jamming into each other. Many side streets are anything but fine and most are impassable without 4wd or AWD.
