Nice, that's a stud buck for sure. Thanks for sharing the pix.

You know the feds, "don't let any good crisis go to waste". 4Falls, that's pretty much exactly what my wife and I said when we saw this. Couple of guys with chainsaws over a weekend - problem solved. But that's how big gov't works. Write up a "Risk Assessment" document, talk and talk, get lawyers involved, meanwhile tell the public to stay out. I want the feds out of our forests so bad... don't get me started.

You guys aren't looking close enough. It's got a sticker on it verifying it's authenticity - what more proof could you want??? LOL.

Kudos for trying to find the owner. Class act for sure.

I'll take the Garmin Oregon if you are willing to ship.

If you are trying to figure out the odds or get a grasp of how to predict it, I've got nothing for you. It's a lottery - luck of the draw. Some things my sway the odds one way or another, but in the end, it's just the "luck of the draw". I've heard of one guy who drew 13B one year and 13A the next. I personally know a guy who has 18 or 19 points for elk and is still waiting for his first choice hunt (3a/c rifle). Personally, I drew 24A December (15% odds back then) 4 out of 5 years. I drew unit 1 MZ and archery bull tags in the rut back-to-back, then a 13B strip tag with only 4 bonus points. Some guys I know have been putting in for the strip and have 17, 19 or more points. At this point, if I have a dry spell and don't draw squat for 10 years or more, I won't be bitter at all. Toss your name in the hat, and when your time comes, you get to go hunt.

Here are a couple... Following this hunt...

Bump for a super nice shotgun. I have the exact same gun and love it.

Nice job! Way to contribute to youth hunters.

Obviously not hunting related, but I've got this huge steel pipe that a buddy gave me a while back to build a smoker out of. Well I never got around to it, and this stuff is still just sitting around. Honestly, I don't know what it's worth, but probably quite a bit just as scrap. Anyone have an idea what's a fair price for this? The darker pipe is about 20" outside diameter and about 3/8" thick. Two are 24" long and the other is about 41" long. The yellow pieces are closed on one end with a thick ring with bolt holes on the other. It's not quite as thick probably at least 1/4" though. They are about 19.5" in diameter and 23.5" long. Thanks for looking.

Great looking rifle - I am looking forward to seeing how your loads work up.

"Dandy" is an understatement - and with a bow - nicely done, sir! And welcome to the best hunting site on the web.

any special fees for applying online with azgfd?
Coach replied to biglakejake's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
You know usually I say whatever BofA hasn't messed with any of my gun buying and hunting stuff. HOWEVER, two years in a row my debit card I used to put in for elk and lope online got cancelled within a day of the update time. This year I fixed it in time, last year no dice so lost my loyalty point and the point or tag. Needless to say that got a profanity laced phone call about the timing of their crap when it happened this year. This year I fixed it in time, last year no dice so lost my loyalty point and the point or tag. Needless to say that got a profanity laced phone call about the timing of their crap when it happened this year. Yeah, I had the same issue with the elk/antelope draw this year. I was putting in for myself and 3 sons all back-to-back. Turns out if B of A sees a whole bunch of small fees from the same vendor in a short time they consider it "suspicious" and can cancel those charges at their discretion. G&F was willing to work with me, but since I messed up and didn't include an email address on some of the boys' apps, I had no receipt for those and they weren't able to honor the apps. So, if you do go with a B of A card, try and spread them out as much as possible, and make sure to include an email address on the last step so you get a record of the transaction. This is the first time in years of applying that I had this problem, and I've always used my B of A card. We did lose a couple of antelope apps and the boys will have to start over on their loyalty point. But it sure beats writing hundreds of dollars worth of checks for G&F to cash, collect interest on then "refund" when you aren't drawn. This time I've got all the receipts and I've made sure the charges went through. All part of playing the game I suppose. -
Nicely done!!! Huge congrats.

Nice meeting you today Bonecollector. Thanks again for taking the pipe down - that was really nice of you.

Any pix of the boat? Sounds like a smokin' deal.

This whole term is so messed up, even the media can't keep up with it all. Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS scandals, NSA spying on Americans, DOJ illegally obtaining phone and email communications, the Attorney General lying under oath...and so much more - all under "The most transparent administration ever" as promised by Obama - not to mention his obviously fake birth certificate or the fact that NOBODY at Columbia University has any record of him ever attending there - the un-constitutional health care mandate... How can it get any worse?

Lots of good cameras out there now, many under $100. I like the coverts, but I don't like little I-pod looking programmers that you have to use with them. I've got 3 or so, and it seems each one has to have its own programmer. Moultrie M-80 is a good camera with features like the plot-stalker if you want to cover more area than the IR trigger will accommodate. The smaller Bushnells take good pix too. These days, the box you put it in is probably as important as the camera itself. I build my own, and tailor each to the kind of place I'm going to put the camera. If it's an area with decent traffic, you're gonna have to cut out a big chunk of tree to get it out. Of course, with battery-powered cut-off wheels, just about any steel box can be defeated. That's why I usually use cams under $100, a good box welded out of scrap steel and get them in places that are a good hike in. I don't need the stress of a $400 camera in a place where it can be taken.

Wow, that first bear looks awesome. I would agree that it's 3 different bears - the last one seems to have had a rough winter. Two nice bucks as well. Thanks for sharing the pix.

Buy a new barrel or buy a new gun?
Coach replied to 123456's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
+1 on the E.R. Shaw. They make great A.R. barrels too. -
Happy Birthday, Bowsniper. I hope it was a great one for you!

I love Rocky Point. Been a while since I've been there - same deal - wife says it's gotten too dangerous. I used to spear triggers while snorkeling using a Hawaiian Sling, then catch more triggers and other fish around the rocks at the point with a surf rod and frozen squid. Sure is hard to beat camping on the beach, the smell of a good fish fry, a big campfire and the sun setting over the ocean. Good times right there.

Awesome!!! I love seeing those youth hunters out there getting it done, and clearly Hunter (perfect name for her, BTW) has a great mentor. Great shooting, Hunter, and congrats on the Javi, the coyote and the deer. And great job, Dad for getting her out there and teaching her how to do it so well.

Is there an easy way on the forum to find posts you have started? I found the feature where you can find your content, but nothing yet on the ones I created.
