That's awesome! Sounds like he's on a roll. Dandy looking buck.

Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 scope. Currently has a wood stock cut down for youth on it. Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 scope. 25 handloads (140 gr. Nosler Accubonds) & 32 once or twice fired brass. RCBS reloading dies. The barrel, scope and stock all have dings from use. This has been a great youth gun for my boys. The black composite stock is in new condition. I put the wood one on as soon as I got it. Asking $450. Feel free to PM with questions, etc.

Any takers at $400?

Nice Job! Nothing I like better than seeing those kids being taught well and enjoying success. Great post and huge congrats to Jared. And great job to you for taking the time to teach him and create opportunities for him.

No doubt a crazy day. Most upsets I can remember. As for the devils, whatever you think of their rabid fans, they accomplished something practically impossible. That game will go down as one of the best comebacks ever. And Bercovici had the kind of game that may create a big future for himself. Huge respect for Strong too. Unbelievable how a couple talented guys can make the impossible comeback happen.

Nice job, Roy! That's a great looking buck.

Pretty awesome to see a deer like that go to a guy who has dedicated so much of his life finding huge trophies for other people.

Why not morph them into IMO the best all-around hunting round, .300 WSM? In your situation, I might take the .270 WSM over the .300 WM. I agree with Scoutm, except I haven't seen any feed problems with short mags. And I agree with 100%diyazcoues (hope I got that right) that any 300 mag is overkill for javi, but definitely not for deer. It's splitting hairs at some point. They're both great all-around cartridges, so it really depends on the actual guns being traded - What makes of both rifles are you considering trading?

This thread remind me of George Thorogood's "I drink alone". Yeah, I hunt alone, and sometimes I prefer it that way. Just my friend the early sun, his brother cold winds run. And I hunt alone, yeah, with nobody else.

Jim White was one of our last pioneers. With his loss, I can't help but recall Norm Pint. These men lived the outdoor dream in Arizona. The pathways they created opened the door to decades of sportsmen and women, and especially kids. Godspeed to Jim, and prayers for his family. His legacy is huge, he will not be forgotten.

Here's the deal, I have a 2005 Ford Excursion with the 6.0 powerstroke. I'm fully aware of the types of issues this motor has, so please, let's not derail this. This has been a great truck for our family - it has around 119K miles. In the mornings, it starts great but had issues with acceleration for the first 1/2 mile or so. After some research, this is common - the cause is faulty/clogged injectors. We took it to a shop that specializes in diesel engines and their first diagnosis was the EGR. $600 later same problem, so they actually test drove it and found that the 5,6 & 8 injectors were causing the issue. Another thousand dollars to replace the 6 & 8 injectors. So we go to pick it up and it literally would not start. Now they are saying there is a leak in the high pressure system, probably caused by a bad gasket in the HPOP or STC failure. So they want another thousand dollars. But when we drove it in there, we had a minor issue with lag in the morning. Now we're in $1600 and it won't even start up and they want another $1k, just to get it running again. IMO, something they did caused the no start issue because that was never a problem before we took it in, so I'm not about to pay them another thousand bucks to fix a problem they obviously created. What's the right way to go about holding them accountable for turning a small problem into a huge one?

My oldest son Matt had the unit 1 archery bull tag this year. While we weren't able to get a bull on the ground we had an amazing time. Between school schedules, football coaching, etc., we really packed in as much hunting time as we could. This was his first ever real big game archery hunt. He's done well with javi's and rifle deer hunts and turkeys, but I think it was eye opening how tough even the premium archery bull hunts can be. We were in elk every day we hunted, and we hunted hard the full time. Fri-Sun both weekends, and up by 3 every day during the week, hunt - go to school/work/coach then back in the field until dark during the week. He almost tagged out in the first 45 minutes of his hunt opening weekend on a really nice bull. I'm so glad he didn't. The time we spent together for the rest of the hunt, learning together, getting close to big bulls over and over - passing smaller, and honestly some really nice bulls in hopes of getting one of the big boys, making mistakes and talking about what we did right and where we messed up, really brought us closer together. And we have no regrets about lost bulls due to bad shot placement. Even when things looked tough, he opted not to take shots he might have made but knew there was a chance of bad placement. No blood, but lots of memories. I sure was looking forward to posting some success photos from our hunt. But those only exist in my memory as I recall the hunt with my son.

Wow, nice bulls!

Spot On CEI, great post and great vids at your site. Going 100% for the pinnacle is not for everyone. More often than not you get close over and over, but you have to know at the end of the day you never took the easier route, and that speaks volumes IMO.

I've seen a few in NM just a couple miles from the AZ border way down south. Honestly, as many guys as we have here in AZ just looking for more hunting opportunity, I doubt we'll ever see them become problematic.

LOL, that's so funny because my son and I were just talking about doing a parody video of a guy dressed up in leafy camo or ghillie suit driving around and squeezing a hoochie mama out the window. Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction, I guess.

I'd kill him twice. LOL, sorry, that's a really nice rack. Is there such a thing as killing him, then cloning him and killing the clones?

Sounds like there's a lot of us with this "condition". At home, I can't sleep without a loud fan on. When we travel, especially in hotel rooms when there is no background noise, it's crazy loud. The quieter it is, the louder the ringing is. I've just lived with it so long it seems normal, but there are certain ranges of sound I simply can't hear. My wife has to remind me if my turn signal is left on after changing lanes. I don't know if I caused mine by blaring 80's rock in my car as a kid or too much shooting without ear protection, or if it's just genetic.

Man that stinks. Must be what I have - my ears ring constantly - they have as long as I can remember.

Wow - great looking bull there! Congrats and nice job on the write up.

Wow. Love the video. Huge congrats Shelvin. That is an awesome bull, and getting it all on video is icing on the cake. You rock man.
