Marketing pure and simple. For every scientist proposing that Global Warming or Climate Change is a human-created problem, there is another that can show evidence that it is part of a bigger, natural cycle. The question is, where does the funding come from for these studies? How many grants won't be renewed if the findings don't align to pre-concieved agendas - with pending governmental policy attached? The well-funded, "climate expert" scientists, living off of grants, are busy trying to convey a scientific consensus. Meanwhile, many non-funded scientists have started a grass-roots effort to show the other side of the data that does not support the "man-made" GW theory. Think about it, if your paycheck is based on supporting a pre-concieved outcome you are more willing to bend a little here and fudge a little there. If you have to stand up to your colleagues, go against the grain and put your carreer in jeapordy in the name of preseving scientific principals, you have to really believe in what you are proposing. I'm not saying I know whether man is affecting our environment, I'm guessing we probably do to some point. But I will say I am highly skeptical of the leagues of paid-off PHDs who have a vested interest in promoting one idealogy over another. Likewise, I would place more credibility in the few who put their reputation and careers on the line to stand up against what they believe is politically motivated junk science.

Game&Fish - Operation Photo date check
Coach replied to C.O.U.E.S.'s topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Not to double beat a dead horse, but I would expect the G&F officers to respond to any and all leads WRT game violoations. In my experience most of them are very level headed, and simply answering some questions about a photo that appears to show a possible violation is not some major violation of privacy. A couple things I'm sure we can all agree to are 1) that poaching is theft from all of us and 2) poaching is extremely hard to prove if it is not witnessed first hand. If a G&F officer has some premise to investigate, it is their job - their sworn duty - to follow up on it and get the facts. You could easily flop this one (if it DID turn out to be an illegal harvest) that G&F did not do enough to verify that the animal was taken legally. I'd rather give our G&F officers the benefit of doubt and encourage them to persue any and all leads that might track down a poacher, than wonder why they ignored evidence. If there is a good explanation, as in this case, that's as far as it goes. We are really blessed in this state NOT to have a bunch of ticket-first-ask-questions-later officers. Yes there are a couple of ego cases here, but they are in the minority. Spend some time across state lines, and I'll bet you'll be looking for the first AZGFD officer to buy lunch, because on average, they are way more down-to-earth and willing to assess situations rationally than many of our bretheren states. Just my $.02 -
Great job - BTW, I love you in 'America's Dirtiest Jobs' - Did you get scared on the side of that skyscraper in Hawaii? Just Kiddin' Nice cat.

Hey Clay, what kind of rest are using with those fobs?

Wowser! That is one amazing buck!!! What a fantastic looking coues buck!!! And great job on the shooting too! Shots at those ranges are tough in perfect conditions - pulling them off when contorted and hurried shows some excellent marksmanship on your part. Congratulations on a well-earned trophy!

Not sure whate carrier is best but be 100% sure it is getting shipped to a verified FFL holder.
-
Prayers sent - I hope all goes well with the surgery. Not to pour salt in the wound, but you need to find some new hunting partners.

Awesome job - cool story too!

Congrats! And what an awesome collection of coues in the background - impressive!!!

Great hunting trailer - has been awesome for our family. PM with questions or post them here. Reese hitch included. $3950 FIRM. You'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner 5th wheel anywhere near this price.

A huge thanks to azelkhunter2 (DAVE), elkhtnaz, coyotekid(Sam) and Gino. We had a great time, no dead piggies this time but given the bad weather and short time to hunt, I just want to thank each and every one of you STAND-UP guys for sharing information and helping out. Turns out the country North of 260 was pretty much snowed in - did some hard glassing and hiking, found a killer bear or lion kill (cow elk) with both Bald and Golden eagles (my yougest son had a checklist of critters and this one kill checked off lots of them). Got a nasty flat tire in the mud, all that "hotel hunting" experience has to offer. A big THANK YOU to the good guys of Tire Pro Automotive in Camp Verde - Some great guys who got us back on the road and would not accept payment. You hunters in Camp Verde or Cottonwood, please buy these guys lunch, or at least, next time you need tires, give them a ring - solid guys all the way around. They really took care of us. Finally on Day 2 of a very limited two-day hunt we were in the right place (thanks to Gino) but a little late to the party. Late in the day, the boys finally got to chase some pigs, but they somehow they knew where unit 6A ended and 22 began, so we had to eat some tag soup and make our way back up the fossil creek road. Let's just say the road toward Strawberry from Fossil creek is a muck bog with a thousand foot drop-off that had all 5 of us puckering our sphincters like water-tight widgeons until we finally broke the rim. Just wanted to say THANK YOU again to all of you awesome CWT members who were willing to offer a helping hand on our youth Javi hunt. You guys rock.

Hey guys, My boys have the 6A youth javi hunt starting next weekend. My oldest son (12) had this hunt last year. We had some pretty cold, wet windy conditions and didn't end up seeing any piggies. We were camped near Cornville hunting the Southern portion of House Mtn, and saw some pretty good sign - just couldn't locate the little buggers. Next weekend, or whenever this big storm system moves out, we'll be heading back for round two - only with two hunters this time. I'm not very familiar with 6A, so I'm kinda planning on heading to the same general area. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'd like to see them get into the pigs this time. Jason

Now that freakin' ROCKS! Great job - spot and stalk coues is an amazing accomplishment!!!! Great job and thanks for sharing!!!
-
Yeah, that's it, I'm hunting with Gino next Fall.
-
Thanks for the info. I love trail cams - just too afraid to set the good ones out that long!
-
Nice pistol - how many rounds does it hold?

Unit 1 Archery Bull Elk with my sons for two full weeks. Second place, a nice Mt. Goat with a bow. 3rd Place, chasing javi's, deer and quail around the desert in January with the whole family there, some good friends too. Big campfires, big stories, broken or stuck trucks, some grilled bacon wrapped deer or pronghorn backstraps, or if hunting's been slow, shrimp. Simply hanging with family and good friends. I'd rather hunt jackrabbits with some good company than a white rhino by myself.

IMO, this is the BEST youth bow out there. My oldest boys each saved up their Christmas and Birthday money to buy one, and both shoot very well. If you're looking for a bow that can grow with your kids, look hard at this one.
