KUIU ICON Packs 5000&7000 plus Load Slings
azpredator@work replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
I've got a icon 3000 and will be adding the 7000 to the arsenal for next year in Nevada's high country. Love kuiu's products - hate kuiu's inventory levels. -
Looks like I may be heading down to Phoenix. I appreciate the responses. Already spoke with Randy - seems to be a good guy.

SPF - thanks.

I have a used sitka bivy 30 that I bought new for my son for sale. I have the same pack and use mine on nearly every hunt. Great daypack or overnight pack. 500 cu/in - 3000+ cu/in. The best things about this pack are: very lightweight, versatile in size (see pics), very comfortable loaded or unloaded, reinforcements on all stress points, waistbelt pockets, rainfly, hydration bladder compartment, noiseless construction, framed so mesh touches back, but pack does not (this is an awesome feature), built in sleeping pads (these are a bit skinny to sleep on, but would be nice to sit on for glassing or a nap). $200. pm or text 4802264103. Thanks.

Checked the camera after months
azpredator@work replied to Santana Outdoors's topic in Trail Cameras
I have cameras out year long and it's amazing the traffic some get. If you look online for "geocaching" you may have one located close to one of your spots. I was amazed how far off the beaten path some of those canisters are. I found one by accident and it was in an area a lot like your camera's location (middle of absolute nowhere). It's always dissapointing to see 2 legged creatures around the areas you think you're one of the few to have ever seen. -
$279 through cameraland

Sucks when you're stuff gets stolen. I bet it feels pretty good you get it back though I've never recovered anything. Good thing they have what's coming to them. Hopefully, the judge doesn't go softly on them.

I'll see ya out there. The planets aligned for me as well!! Good luck to you... -
Coach - it's already corrupted.

The game warden I asked told me "If it's family, the original tag holder must be present at time of kill - not at home or at camp." I have read articles in magazines contradicting what this warden told me so I guess it's not illegal unless you get caught...? I would worry about interpretation on this one - there's a lot at stake if mommy was at camp when jr. killed his bull.

All the bulls I posted in the trailcam section (velvet bulls) are from a spot my son killed a couple bulls in a couple years back in 22n. I placed that camera for a friend of mine who had the Nov archery tag last year to get him motivated. If you find a great spot like I did it can be an easy hunt - if not it will be incredibly difficult. I scouted 36 days to find a my son's first bull 3 years ago and that time produced several awesome spots where I know a good bull can be killed any day of hunting season. There's plenty of elk, but they won't move much in dayligt in November. The bull in my avatar is my son's first bull he took when he was 12 - lucky kid! Good luck...

looking for prices on a full body mount Fox
azpredator@work replied to CountryD7127's topic in Taxidermy
Foxes and cats seem to bring out the worst in taxidermy. Some guys that do great deer mounts really blow a cat mount. I had my bobcat done by Chris Krueger @ Krueger's creations in Phoenix I think I paid $1150 and he bleached the skull. Incredible mount. My advice is to make sure you see their previous mounts to make sure they are schooled on more than deer and elk.
