At the inaugural Game and Fish Constituent Group meetig in March, a memeber of the ADA rose to speak. He quoted his mother, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". He then began to chastise those that had spoken out against HB 2072 in very strong terms. Perhaps this is one reason that the ADA is still affiliated with AZSFW. Perhaps they just don't want to say anything bad about AZSFW or they see money at the end of the trail. Where would we be today, if we had played nice as some mothers told us to? HB 2072 in some form would be law. And we would be be among the sheep of our society. The organization that claims to represent thousands of us, did not consult with any of us regarding all aspects of of HB 2072, including the memebership of the ADA. Most organizations they claim to represent were never even approached with the basic concept of the bill. I suspect that a very small cadre were fully aware ot the contnet of HB 2072. George

Thanks for clearing things up John. You are correct about Donnie Lee and the small silver lining of the HB 2072 fiasco. We have a new small group forming, SWSA, that is willing to put their blood, sweat and tears into the conservation effort. Most were at the ADA Board meeting at BassPro. Some will be doing the water project on 442 on the 28th. George

Ted Nugent's comments were not over the top or too strong. He simply stated exactly what most gun owners are thinking. He realizes what Obama will do if he is reelected. If reelected, Obama will have four years to do everything he can to gut or completely destroy the Second Amendment. Ted made no threat to the President. He simply made it clear that he will fight any attempt to gut the Second Amendment even if it means jail or death. Most gun owners feel the same way. Remember Charlton Heston "From My Cold Dead Hands" George

Geez George... If I were a betting man, I would say that it is Comm1 writing your responses. I have watched your posts and I would say that half the time it is Robbie doing the posting. If you want to believe that all is great from the Carefree towers, so be it. I will continue to think differently. I will hope that an agency that is over 90 million dollars will show us what is behind the curtains. -

John, I don't recall that I said anything in my post that indicated that the AZGFD was perfect or had an entire staff that is prohunting, ant- wolf or anything else. My comment was a generalization regarding my own experiences with the department. The department has a wolf recovery program. Would you assign anti wolf people to that effort? I am not a fan of everything that the Commission or Department has ever done in the past but I respact their efforts to consider the opinion of every Arizonan. Do I think that every single employee in the department has the best interest of hunters in mind? No. I'm a realist. I will anxiously await your report regarding the infiltration of the department by the anti-hunter crowd. Can you identify another agency in this state that does not rely on the general fund to get their job done? George -

I added the following comment. This is simply an attempt to expand Secretary Salizalar's earlier ruling regarding uranium minting to include the reintroduction of grizzly bear, wolves and jaguar and enhance mountain lion and coyote populations to the detriment of a fantastic Mule Beer herd. It's a direct attack on hunting. It is also an attempt to impede the very effective wildlife management practices of the Arizona Game and Fish Department and several federal agencies. These environmentalists believe that they are better qualified to deal with all wildlife issues. -

U.S Sportsmen's Alliance. This morning I spoke with Jeremy Rine, Assoc. Director of State Services. He had limited information regarding this proposal. He became interested very quickly as we spoke. I provided him with Don Martin's email add. so that USSA could request a copy. I offered financial support within the means of YVRGC. I'm sure that Jeremy will be bumping this up to the national level. Next contact. Secretary Salazar. Put the heat on guys and gals. There is room for another grave alongside HB 2072. It's nearly time to resurect Prop. 109. George -

This is very disturbing to me. Last Friday, I actually sat down with a Director of the Arizona Wilderness Society in order to reach aggreement on language for the Sonoran Desert National Monument. There was no mention of this pending proposal. I kind of think that I was sitting across a teble with a gun pointed at my belly. George -

Darn right there is. We have two days to find out everything we can about Mr. Johnson. We need to contact everyone we can think of to get his resume. Find out what organizations he has been a member of and then contact those organizations. If he has anything to do with AZSFWC or any organization that has not terminated affiliation with AZSFW/AZSFWC he a plant as far as I.m concerned. If anything negative is produced we go to Senator Nelson and Shooter first the the rest on the committee. we also need to find out why a new name is in the mix. Why wasn't our community notified. Sounds like another sneak attack. George -

Allen, Now that we have had an opportunity to speak to each other, I will tell you that I will support your efforts to persue a seat on the Game and Fish Commission Recommendation board. I believe that you are well qualified for such a position. George -
