    Win a Havalon Knife

Looks nice, I would for sure add a clearence items area for stuff out of season or for eliminating overstock. You can even put things on clearence when its only a small amount of savings, people love to buy when they think they're saving money. Also, remember to use Loss leaders to generate traffic. See the links below, REI has a great clearence page, I shop there often, also backcountry.com has a cool one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_leader http://www.rei.com/outlet http://www.backcountry.com/ Ryan Roe

    New Guess the Score contest

Nice buck Chad! I can tell you're cherishing the trophy cause its hard to score with your hands all over those horns....lol I would be the same way, its really cool and unique. Ryan
  3. I think going past 500 would be cool, but I guess I know that I can shoot something at 500 and within, so why risk it. It also sucks because the further you shoot the further you hike. LOL Creeping in to 500 is fun for me, leaves a little bit of stalking for me to do.
  4. Go rem and build up from there. I like the rem 700 tac with the shorter barrel. Snipers use it all day long out to 1000. its like 600 new. The stock on it would shoot fine to start. I have a Tika that shoots 700 out of the box. So it may just depend on you and the particulair rifle you end up with. That Rem 700 tac is awesome, but your looking at 900+ on a scope anyways so might as well plan on spending 2000-3000. Guys are saying 2000 but this must be without taxes...lol.

    Pranks

I've got a buddy who works for UPS and is always legged up for our hunting treks. To slow him down, I started loading his pack with rocks so we could have a more equal pace. Works every time. He won't even find the rocks unless I tell him about it. He doesn't look in the bottom of his pack very often so it makes it even funnier. Thats what you get when you use your buddies stuff more then your own....lol

    Late unit 27 Bull

Great job. 27 is a good unit, but not for lazy people. Very, very steep as you know. Sneaking up over a bluff and all. Hope I get a tag there this year!!!

    It has been bugging me…

CNS, I think you have more to blame then bad technique. You have to understand that the marketting departments at all the hunting corporations prey on our God given manly DNA. They know we think LR shooting is cool and prey on it to make money. They glorify it. It's not us. Its people using it to promote the latest fad. A lot of these companies are even owned by hunting groups, and families. They know they need to continue to move with our culture and make money to sustain themselves. Therefore you see the hunting world change according to its largest influencers and our human competetiveness. Blame the dvd producers, corporations, and sniper glorifying humans of this world. Things like this are just a reflection of the reality that we call humanity and culture. Gun shops will always up sell you to the longrange(more costly) gun, and optics, and gear, and whatever else you want. Sad and true.
