I got my hide back. Any taxidermist want to have pitty on me and give a guy a discount?? Please PM me if you're willing to help out! I would really appreciate it. I lost $450 and don't want to have a $1500 dollar rug.....lol

I think it took me 6 years to draw that 27 tag and only came home with a bear. The 27/28 has a 98% draw odd.

Toby, I found out that Jeff has already missed a hearing about this. So I'm sure it will catch up to him. You are very correct though.

Ok, here's an update. Tom answered my call after about 5 calls and 2 messages. I advised I was just trying to get my bear and cut my losses so that I can still get my first bear rug completed some day. Well, he was a very nice guy and I don't blame him for what his brother has done. I do believe that blood is thicker than many things though and don't feel like he was ready to give me his brothers address or anything. I don't blame him but he is also harboring a now well known thief/con artist. In the end I gave Tom $50 for getting my bear and bringing it to me. I also informed him before hand that I was familiar with his home address. I don't know what the main motivation was for him, the money, or knowing I knew where he lived, or both. I will say that after finding his address and offering $50 dollars I had my bear back in 24 hours. Well, I have my bear and I commended Tom for doing the right thing.

Hey everyone! Jeff has my bear and $450. Im looking to get Jeff and Toms address please. I will need Jeffs address to file a small claims suit and Toms to pick up my bear and have a talk. Tom already told me he located my bear but is now not returning my calls. Please pm addresses to me. Im not going to get violent, just going to put this 2 year debacle over my first archery bear to an end. Gonna get my hide and sue Jeff. Tom seems to be cool but he still isnt returning my calls. If anyone else wants to go with me, the more, the merrier. Ryan Roe 480-234-8797

Anyone recognize this tree stand and Camera?
dieselroe replied to Bownut98's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Why not hunt there??? Explain please, just curious He can totally legally hunt there. But its kind of nice if you run into a mans favorite spot to leave it to him and get your own. There's plenty of land to hunt in az. I would leave it be and hope a man that finds mine would also let it be and think "wow, that guy has a good spot. maybe if he moves outta here some day I might use it". No worries, its just not how the world works anymore, but part of hunting is the adventure of finding new things and making stuff happen on your own. Not squatting a spot that is obviously being used. so all I have to do is hang a stand and a camera to claim a "spot" in the public forest?? heck yeah! looks like he found a spot he wants to hunt. the guy's stand could be for bear, deer, elk, here is a concept, when you are done hunting take your stuff with you. I don't mind cameras but the treestands that are up for years on end does not make that spot theirs! he can't possibly hunt 365 days a year otherwise he would have ran into him sitting in the stand. I would leave a note, if he's cool he won't mind and probably share info with you ( like shedhunteraz) if he's a prick about it call the forest service so they can have it removed and add it to their collection. my guess is 23N James Thanks for making my point. Yeah, ask him if you can use it and if not, call the forest service to take it down to punish him. That's the way to handle it. Things are only ok if were the ones reaping the benefits. As mentioned the world has moved from respect and kindness to extreme narcissism. -

Amazing Mule Deer Rut Footage and 4 Kill Shots!
dieselroe replied to andygrand's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Great job harvesting a buck at the opportune moment! The video is really great to. -
"120 inch buck on the last day" That's why you trophy hunt right there. Went 7 days!!! That's a long and grueling amount of time to hold out. Very impressive, it takes a lot of guts and mental stamina to hold out to kill a big dog like that. Great job guys!!

Totally my bad. I just didn't want to give the unit away so was looking to use another detail of the kill. I'm fairly new to hunter forums...

no one in this thread even said they would take the shot. they said if they were practiced and proficient at that range they would. dont see how taking shorter shots makes you a better bowhunter either, but if that makes you feel like it than cool. i feel like a good bowhunter when i kill. edit: i dont shoot with turrets on my rifle but i dont go telling my friends im a better hunter than them because they shoot long range Really? My archery skills haven't changed much over the years. My hunting skills have. I can get closer than that now. That makes me a better bowhunter than I was when I took a 92 yard shot with the key word being "hunter." thats your opinion. id say the guy that kills at 92 yards is a better hunter than the guy that waits for a 40 yarder and kills nothing. jmho To bad we all can't be out there instead of sitting at these stupid screens......
-
Oops, I forgot about the ethical stuff. I just wanted to see the deer and congratulate the guy. Maybe we should close this thread now......lol Every man can make his own choices in this world. We have enough judges. Cam hanes would have done it......lol PS my max range is 60 in great conditions. I can't practice like Cam does. I have a family to take care of.

Cool video. I like how you did the shot from the rifle tip and also the reloading slow mo sequence. Sick.

Sounds like a good place to use those jets to cover any noise you make, you could probly get into 20 with all that background noise.

Archery backpack Javi / Deer hunt
dieselroe replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Hey! I'm in the market for some boots. How do you like the browtine so far? Is the shank to stiff? or the ankle support to high to kneel comfortably on a stalk? -
Just goes to show that even if you know about an animal, its still anybody's game on public land....
-
I really hope they can get a handle on this, I think elk and coues really effect the mule deer numbers. (sorry elk fans) Elk eat to much.........
-
Wait till they bed down and plan a stalk with the wind right and from above them if possible. Use a tree to cover you because they notice any movement. Make sure you try to hide drawing back or make sure they are not looking. Although they will sometimes just stare at you. Pay attention to where the does are so you can try to avoid getting busted.
