nice bulls! Great pics of them too.

Yeah I bought one last year and they are the best tc from moultrie. They still dont compare to my reconyx but the M-80 is the best camera in its price range. The night pics are the best feature of the M-80, there isnt any whitetout on close pics, its really clear, I dont have any far distance pics to show you the range of the ir. Here's some examples- Close pic Farther pic Day pic

I love the manzanita! is that the original bark?

This is the first shed I've found from a buck that I've had on camera. I found it 20 yards above my camera. Surprising how many times Ive walked right by it!

IT'S GOING TO BE A GOOD SEASON!!!!!
CouesBuckhunter replied to Elkhunter1's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I'd rather be in your shoes, looking for bears in Aug than bucks. It isn't going to be an easy hunt. Due to over half of the prickly pear flowers on each cactus not being pollinated by bees because of the extreme dry air during the flowering season there won't be many pears on each cactus. So the bears will plow through each cactus instead of spending time at each one. This means they will be moving fast. I've been training all summer long to be in tip top shape for chasing them through the high hills. If I see any coues 85 inches or better or any other bucks I hav my eyes on ill send an arrow their way. -
whats your effective range?

Just to clarify on my comment on the deer in august, I didnt recover the animal, no blood, there was little penetration because I hit straight bone. I tracked him a good two miles without seeing any blood sign. I ended up seeing him again in january chasing does and put him down at 40yrds. -

PSE BowMadness XL 2012, 71# 30in 420gr arrow with 125gr Swhacker 100yrds. My comfortable shot distance depends on what animal it is. I dont shoot javys over 40 yrds because there is no need to. I will take a coues deer sized animal+ out to 100yrds, I shot a 95in buck in august at 98yrds but that was 2 years ago when I had less bow weight and I hit the shoulder quartering away. I didnt see that he was quartering away in that light but at the time I felt fairly comfortable with the shot as it was my last chance at him as he was about to go over the ridge. Practice is the key. If I cant hit the vitals on a mckenzie target in various conditions then I won't shoot that yardage when I'm hunting. -
Who is ready for august

Just have to hope the rain comes then goes. No good sitting water if the rain pours too much so that it's everywhere and the deer get water from puddles. I always love august because the grass and ground is wet most of the time, makes for a good silent stalk. -

Yes they are. It is bs because they are making the decision mostly based off of data that is two years old. Plus rifle hunters do not have to report their deer kills as it is not mandatory like it is for all archery hunters. Their data is old and unreliable for that reason. The true solution would have been to cut back on the rifle tags but the g&f can't do that because that would mean less money. -
OK thanks Tom gobbler!

The Coues don't drop in my neck of the woods for awhile. Exciting to see some new fawns. Hopefully the bobs and yotes stay off of them. Thanks for sharing!

I was going through old videos and came across my video of my 2011 Archery Coues Buck a year or two before slapped my tag on him. I named him Slant because of his eyeguard. Here's the video: Here's the hunting pic-

This is the video of our close encounters in January. To sum it up on the mule deer, both my uncle and I could not get a decent break. It was hard hunting from sun-up to sun-down. The wind messed my uncle up on two mule deer stalks. A herd of cows screwed me up on my stalk on a 140ish muley buck. One thing we didnt film is a 170 buck that I made an immortal shot on. It was a stalk from heck with no cover and 2 does facing my direction. As I stood up to shoot a doe was going to bust so I rushed the shot and because of that, I made a bad one. I have taken alot from that season and believe me, I have learned from my mistakes and train accordingly so I am not likely to make those mistakes again. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy it!

Cole VanWinkle's 2012 Archery Muley Hunt. It was spot n' stalk and he got awesome footage of his nice buck skylined, pushing does before he put the swhack attack on him. Here's the vid-

Nice TJ! What did you put the swhack attack on?

Three back-to-back Archery Javy hunts from my uncle, cousin, and I all in one video. All were 100% fair chase and 100% pure javy huntin fun! Enjoy!

For deer I use custom blended sugar blocks I make myself. The deer love them, I had a group of bucks stand and fight over it and lick it for over 4 hours. Pigs, squirrels, coatis and ringtails are the other animals Ive gotten on my trail cams coming into my sugar blocks. Heres's some pics. Here's a nice non-typical buck coming into my sugar block. Another neat buck licking he sugar block.

My firends from the NWT in Canada came to Southeastern AZ to hunt our fun little javelina and boy did they find out what AZ is! They learned everything will poke, scratch, bite, or sting you. Despite being newbies to the terrain they successfully tagged their javelina. It was a hunt that I will always remember, and I was thankful to show non-natives the beautiful country of Arizona and the magnificient animals that inhabit it. Here's the video of their hunt: Thanks!

Yeah it's a tabacco ceremony. Pretty cool to capture it and experience it as well.
