Jay just dropped another podcast with Pete -
This is funny and I almost agree. All I do is clean the stupid thing and dont even use it, but I feel like a back yard is naked with out a pool. Good luck with the build.

Theyve had the electronic signs going down the 101 freeway in Phoenix saying extreme fire danger. I dont think Ive ever seen those in town before. Hopefully it helps.

I cant find the name of the place but I left my trailer in Alpine when I drew a 27 tag. Heres the address that google maps pulled up. Apache National Forest 42702 US Highway 180 Alpine, AZ 85920 United States It was pretty cheap and they also had showers available that we used during the hunt a couple times.

I believe it will be discussed again at the June commission meeting since it didnt pass at the last meeting.

A work order for two weeks? I need to get my wife down to game and fish this week then because her portal has been screwed up since she had them change her last name in January.

I quit using the montecs for the same reasons above. I think Ive searched for 7 bulls now hit with montecs. Some were lost and the ones found were by Running a grid because there was no blood trail. Havent tried T-locks.

I was in clear creek pines units 8&9 yesterday and today. I finally had to head home about 2pm today. I am not sure how much information I want to put out there at the moment. For one I havent slept and doubt i can type coherently and two I dont know if I want to be the bearer of bad news by posting pictures of someones lost cabin/home. Ive had several people ask about specific properties since I left and my memory is so shot right now that I dont want to give bad info to someone. I circled the Neighborhood so many times today that it is a bit of a blur. I can say there have been several homes lost and many homes saved. The hot shots busted their butts around the clock through out the night and day. When I arrived i was expecting the neighborhood to be a complete loss and that wasnt the case at all. I spent most the day checking peoples properties that had reached out to me asking for info on specific lots, as well as trying to put out hot spots we came across the best we knew how. (We are not fireman but wanted to help) By the time I left today I felt good that there wouldnt be much more if any loss of property in our neighborhood. I spoke to a sheriff on the way out today and he said best case scenario they hoped that if they could fight the winds this afternoon and the rains/snow arrived tomorrow they could potentially allow people back in tomorrow. (BEST CASE SCENARIO) Looking into clear creek canyon from lumbermill road.

Anyone seen the new regs? They are no longer adding the deer draw odds In the regs. Maybe a good time to capitalize on your idea unless they are already planning to use the idea themselves. -
Looks like theyre out.

Ill take the password also if you could. I forgot it again

I havent seen this answered either. It was asked at the meeting but there wasnt much of an answer. I would like to know if this group will push for a license increase/ stamp if they get enough push back on tags. Or at least present both ideas side by side to the commission. My next question would be- Is the group going to continue to try and raise funds for a political fight if tags are not made available or will they disappear. -

Donations, fund raising, banquets etc.Thats what I figured. Im not going to pick a side on this argument yet but something that really turned me off last night was the hard defensive position C&P took last night. I heard a lot of what have you done and whats your ideas. They had to expect a backlash from what theyre proposing, so I didnt understand the hostility from them when people showed up with tough questions. They are also taking some credit for stopping the cat ban by hiring the one ballot initiative company in Arizona. Which is awesome, Im glad they did it and Im glad it worked, but they did it off the donations of the Sportsman. So, that kinda throws you off when you hear the what have you done type questions towards hunters. I also understand those groups show up month after month, donating their time to these meetings and looking around the room and seeing no one around but the same people. I applaud them for that. They are doing the Sportsman a great service with the projects they complete and the hunter recruitment with youth camps, etc. Im not defending the hunters either as far as donations go. It sounds like game and fish certainly doesnt do well with the donation box on the online big game draw. Maybe hunters dont see the need to donate because it always seems like the narrative to fight anti hunters is the Sportsmans have been funding wildlife to protect and grow our herds for generations without help from The other side. Maybe that narrative needs to change to our wildlife needs more help I dont think this group is 100% bad news. It seems like all of them want to do the right thing for the wildlife of Arizona. I think one group that has failed us is the Arizona game and fish department. All of a sudden theres this huge need to educate the public because 70% of Arizona (what ever the numbers were last night) doesnt know about the Arizona game and fish department. That is flat out the fault of game and fish for not planning, budgeting and marketing themselves to the public, whether they are underfunded or over funded.
