I've Been waiting for a pair of viper 15x50s to show up here for sale but these are really tempting. Hopefully you sell them quick before I cave on the viper idea.

I'm definitely not a glassing expert but I have glassed for a few years now and I have glassed up some animals that seemed nearly impossible to see wether it's an antler tip, ear twitch or head turn but those don't happen every time I glass the hot part of the day but they are the reason I keep glassing through out the day. Basically my point is just keep glassing. You'll find bucks eventually. I always tell myself there's a monster right out there I just haven't seen him yet.

I'm on the west side of town but when we need an extra trap we rent them from a tack store on cave creek. Maybe you could find a rental at a tack shop closer to you?

I don't hunt unit 10 and never have but the unit I do hunt for the late bull tag is split into two areas. Snow on the ground I hunt this side and no snow on the ground I hunt the other side. I prefer the snow! I know every year on the late hunt the topic of how much snow is enough to make them move pops up at some point around the fire and I tend to think it doesn't take much for them to start heading out in my opinion. With that said I will usually always check both sides during the week hunt no matter what the weather is.

You can call frys grocerys store and ask them to save there trimmings for the following morning and they'll hold it for you to pick up usually.

Figured these would go quick. I seen them abou 2 mins too late yesterday. If the sale happens to fall through I'll take them.

Thought I would post an update of my hunt. Thought about Doing a full blown story but it ended up being a 4 page word document and I don't want to bore you guys. Spent a ton of time scouting over the summer and finally narrowed it down to the buck I would hunt probably the day before the hunt. Expected it to be a quick hunt but I was very wrong. Mostly because I couldn't shoot and I actually missed this buck on 5 different days. It finally happened on the morning of day 7 with a 186 yard shot just in time to start the archery elk hunt. Big thanks to Art, Terry, Jimmy and Mike.

Congrats to Taylor! I was out there yesterday and wish I would of caught the show. Hopefully she beat the dude on table 24. He seemed like a loud mouth 5.11 dude.

I just looked up Hawaii outfitters last night. Mainly to see what type of game they have there. From what I saw Maui has axis deer and hogs. I believe the outfitter I looked at was about $1500 but I didn't pay much attention to the prices. Girlfriend has family there and turning it into a hunting trip was Her way of trying to sell me on a Hawaii trip.

I was with my brother helping on his archery bull hunt over the weekend and we were at the bottom of a canyon about 1130AM thinking about heading back to the truck and a bear came up behind us and bedded. We sat 20 yards next to a sleeping bear for 2.5 hours and I got An hour and 45 minutes of video. I don't know much about Bears but always read online that the higher the ears come off their head the smaller and the bigger Bears will have smaller looking ears. The bear seemed very big to me, maybe just because we were so close but wondered what you bear guys think. The picture is off a TV screen from a video but still looks pretty good I think.

When he first came in to lay down I don't think he knew we were there since we had good wind. After an hour you can see him stick his nose toward us as the wind shifted but he didn't seem to care. After that we pretty much bugged the bear the whole time with little reaction. I lip squeaked, cow called, snapped twigs, talked in a regular voice, threw a granola bar at him and all he would do is lift his head to look at us before going back to sleep. Pretty sure I seen some regs rolled up in his back pocket.
