The classic post draw application filed c.c.# change question
GJMauro12 replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
I dont think its in the portal. You would go to hunting then big game draw just like when you put in. Havent checked this season but I believe there is an update billing info button somewhere. If they took your app fee already its possible you might have to wait until after the dead line but before 11/2 -
Arizona Bill Would Ban Mountain Lion, Bobcat Hunting
GJMauro12 replied to 87lc's topic in Mountain Lion
Why couldnt we show up in numbers to protest their meetings and hand out flyers with facts supporting our side. Stop the signatures before it goes to a vote because because a vote could possibly be the end of lion hunting. -
I found one very similar

I know someone that had found a fresh kill during an archery hunt with the antlers cut like that. When he reported it the G$F officer told him the bull died naturally and he has already been out there to remove the antlers.

I'm still trying to get my fiancé to sell hers and get something more practical. I'm guessing in about a year we will hopefully have one for sale.

My cousin shot a hard horned 3x3 80"-85" type coues on 9/8 this year. I thought that seemed early.

I watch very little football but I got home today after shooting also and turned it on. First thing I seen was a highlight of all the knees today and some teams remained in the locker room. They did show one player that was a military veteran who's team remained in the locker room but he came out and stood in the tunnel during the anthem. I thought that was cool.

National Forest travel maps-what am I missing?
GJMauro12 replied to tomharveyb's topic in The Campfire
The wood cutting permit excuse that I hear from a lot of people doesn't really work in my opinion from what it says on the forest service website. Wood cutters can only go off road after they have cut up a pile of wood and need to load it into the truck according to this. I always hear guys say buy a wood permit and carry a chain saw but I doubt they're going to fall for that while you're dressed up in camo. -
National Forest travel maps-what am I missing?
GJMauro12 replied to tomharveyb's topic in The Campfire
I have been following the TMP for the most part. During the spring turkey hunt i was ticketed because I was parked .16 of a mile down a closed road. My cousin was ticketed for it during the archery deer hunt, same unit. What pisses me off is ever since my ticket I have followed the rules completely. But, I downloaded their map on avenza and started checking all the roads. I found roads that actually had the tiny closed signs that showed open on the avenza app. At the beginning of August I hiked a mile down a closed road to glass from the end of it. When I got to the end there was 2 trucks and 3 tents. On the way out I seen a forest service truck go by and chased her down to ask some questions. I started the conversation by asking if she knew when some construction would be done on a closed dirt road they were repairing. She couldn't answer and then I asked if she could give me some information on the TMP. Her whole attitude changed and said what do you want to know? I asked her if anyone is enforcing it and what I should do when I come across violators. She told me to call them into the office and then reluctantly said or your can tell me. So I told her about a mile back on road number &&& there is a road closed sign and a camp back there about a mile. She said thanks and drove off. I checked the camp the next day and they were still there. And Last weekend during the elk hunt I drove some open roads looking for people camped in illegal spots. They were everywhere and I also seen forest service out that weekend so they had to of seen them and did nothing. Long rant but I've been frustrated by the whole thing. I don't mind walking but I don't want to be out there 3 hours early to get to a spot first by walking a closed road to have some one fly by me just before daylight and beat me to a spot. -
This would have been in the last week Not mine then. Mine was stolen between 7/22/17 and 8/4/17.

I had one stolen there this year!

I'm with you guys that trophy rock should be legal since it's salt but here is a response from a G$F officer on a Facebook page that's saying trophy rock is illegal. I blacked out the name.

Not sure I agree with some of the comments saying you should put down a wounded animal if you come across one out of respect. It sucks they have to suffer but what if it's an animal that you don't want to put a tag on and another hunter doesn't show up to claim it. I wouldn't say I don't respect the animals but depending on the tag and how many points I used for it, I wouldn't want to tag a spike. I had a similar conversation like this with a buddy a couple weeks ago during the otc deer hunt. He ran into a bull that appeared to be starving to death because one of his antlers grew straight down and he couldn't feed. He wished he could of put the bull out of its misery but then it comes down to ethics VS laws. You want to do the right thing but also don't want to be punished and lose your hunting license.

I've never had much luck in the pines but I have had some come in. I've also always heard "mountain coyotes" are hard to call in.

I see a bullet hole but what's up with her neck? Buck shot or stab wounds? Chupacabra victim!

Ever tried to coordinate ANYTHING with the feds? He's got federal wildlife charges, federal wild horse and burro charges, and federal firearms coming his way. That means the Department had to deal with FBI, federal fish and wildlife, Dept. of Ag., Dept. of Interior, and ATF. I'm surprised it didn't take 40 years. Plus, if they kept discovering more and more as they dug deeper, then it would make sense that they'd want to have it all ready to go as one package before they busted his door down. Does that mean we shouldn't expect an answer on the case for the next 4-20 years

Went out yesterday and just before dark we spotted this white deer. Just curious if it would be considered an albino, piebald or just a white deer. I've heard stories of albino deer In this unit but I've been hunting this area for probably 10+ years now and haven't ran in to one until now. Not sure why 1 picture was posted twice. It's only showing 3 attachment links.

I suppose I should start carrying a side arm I guess. How many of you have ever needed it?
-
I couldn't tell you since I stayed back glassing and never got close. My Fiancé thought it was mud on the back of her neck that was stuck to hair but I don't know how much she focused on the white doe. She was pretty determined to shoot her first archery buck.
-
Definitely! My fiancé stalked into the little buck the white one was with and missed her first archery shot on a deer at 40.

Wouldn't burros and GCNP deer fall under federal charges and Not just game violations? And what takes 4 years to investigate?
-
And he was shooting wild burros/ donkeys? Come on now what's the point in that?
