i think that if i were to recomened a guide for az coues. the two names at the top of the list would scott adams and josh epp.and not necceryly in that order. i could then her the storys and see the pics.if i draw a dec tag and those two have nothing to do"which i doubt"it would be steaks and all the trimings and all the beer they could drink after the 95 inch buck hits the ground.

I put in for 24a dec whitetail first choice and 24a mule deer second.i was a diehard 23 man for a few years, but dont want to hunt that in oct and a dec tag is going to be very hard to draw.see what happens.cant wait to start scouting

i wonder how long that would last if that sign was on I17 and say about northern.that would make the 5:00 news here. -
i hope its the start of good things to come.if we get good monson rains this summer the fawn crop should be awsome and that means lots more bucks in the future.and then everybody gets drawn.prey for more rain
-
for me it will be#1= 24a dec whitetail-24a muledeer this is a new unit for me so if drawn it will be fun.5a bull archery 5a cow. love elk steaks and summer sasage

i like the wide bucks.and nontypicals, something i think will look good on my wall,or how much iam seeing but the first days are the something specail days.then after that its meat time
-
i was hoping they would do that, but after the regs came out my mind has changed.that dec hunt now is going to be almost impossible to get.and the oct hunt is the same time as the mule deer hunt when i have seen 100 degree heat.its not even worth putting in for in my mind.why not in nov some time when its cool

Performance Contact Lens
ultramag replied to DesertBull's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
well even my all complaints about it. i would still do it again.and i paid about 4000.00 for it.i was just giving my pros and cons about it.it also depends on how bad your eyes are before the surgery.the less you need it the better the outcome.i would recommend it though.sure beats the contacts and eye glasses for hunting.i dont miss the fogging glasses in the cold dec mornings or the breeze and dust that makes the contacts wearing a nightmare. do any of you guys that had lasik have a problem with sitting behind your glass all day? the only thing that i have a problem with is when i stop glassing my eyes take a while to adjust. -
Performance Contact Lens

i had lasik about 8yrs ago.and have good days as well as bad.very sensitive to differant light conditions.and how much rest i get,its not for eveybody.and the dry eyes i learned that if you use fake tears your eyes will never adjust to your new eyes.just dont give your eyes fake tears and you will adjust to it. and that worked for me.just my.2 cents worth -
what a find! thats a nice bull.what area did you find that in?

great idea and yes i would snipe a 3 point like that. -
i used steelheads expandable broadheads on 3 elk. 2 cows and a bull.never let me down yet all elk only ran about 30 yards and its tag time they are tough heads i would recommed them to anyone.

well i sold my other gun. and i want a new coues getter.but confused at all the choices 270wsm-243wssm-25wsmm-7mm saum-all look good on balistics, have any of you used them?i like the browning a- bolt guns but have had good luck with the mod 700s never looked at the winchesters,I need some real pros and cons.keep in mind that i will only use the gun as a coues or a lope gun no "elk"thats what my bow is for thanks for any info
-
this is all to confusing.i notice that on the "magnum" rounds from 100 to about 350 yards there is not that much diff. but what i find interesting is the .243wssm.win balistics chart shows that a 95gr sup ballistic silvertips have a muzzle velocity of 3250fps at the muzzel and at a 200 zero the round shoots 16.9 at 400 yrds .now the regular .243 win with the same bullet shoots 3100 fps at the muzzle and with a 200yd zero the impact is 18.5 low at 400yrds thats only 2 inches diff.the same goes for the .270-270wsm.i guess my question is are they really worth it?i know they are cool but...................
