Not really, still have to buy the turkey point in the fall. What sucks even worse is entering Social Security numbers 92 times! I'm fine with supporting the dept, just doesn't always feel like a 2 way street.

Elk 4 Antelope 4 Deer 4 Turkey 8 (twice a year) Javelina 8 (twice a year) Sheep 4 Bison 6 (twice a year, I got my OIL bull) Bear 4 Crane 4 46 app fees. $598
-
Glad I didn't waste my time or money! Already send G&F $598 a year just in app fees alone for my family of 4, not including licenses or tags. This would have added another $312 for absolutely terrible odds and no bonus points. Try telling someone in MT or WY that there are gonna pay $600+ a year "just to apply" and you would have a literal revolt! Would be some fun hunts though and I hope whoever drew enjoys every minute of it.

I have an older .50 cal CVA Firebolt Ultramag that needs to go. Has everything you need to start shooting muzzy. Bullets, primers, pellets, cleaning supplies. Muzzy has been shot around 15-20 times and shoots good, but been collecting dust for a couple years. Ready for a scope or use the open sights. SOLD

Yep, why not just add them to the Big Game Super Raffle?
-
If I can earn an extra bonus point I'll put in. Otherwise probably won't just like the AZ Big Game Super Raffle. What do you think the odds will be? 1 in 2000? 1 in 10,000?
-
Initial draw? Sounds like a way to backdoor the AZSFW dream of a Utah style convention..."It went over so well we decided to make it 200 tags next year" They could have taxed every game camera $50 a year and made 10 times more money!

Was this the buffalo incident everone was talking about

Is that the 268L road? Unfortunately, 80% of the salt locations are within 100 feet of a road. But this same guide would go berzerk if you drove down the road his client was sitting on, which is why the instituted the sham co-op(to keep DIY guys away from the guided hunters). Glad I got my bull during the hay day! -
Good recommendations and I agree with most of them. I've always thought that some primitive weapons season (longbow/recurve, open sights muzzy, open sights rifle, etc) would make it possible to add more tags/seasons to some units while keeping harvest objectives in check(lower success). Would also spread out the applicants amongst more choices in a particular unit. The biggest problem, however, is that we are dealing with an archaic bureaucracy that is incredibly slow to change/adapt/think outside the box.

Anyone get their uncashed check and app back in the mail for leftovers yet? Still haven't received mine, seems like it shouldn't take this long and wondering if they even received it.
-
Maybe with all the rain that is a good idea. Not sure I would do it though!

There was a reason he was crying alligator tears at the previous camera ban commissioners meeting... I don't believe for a minute there won't still be cameras at all the spots by an "anonymous" 3rd party. Good luck up there SpotNStalk. Send some pics!
-
Love the pics! We were there last year and fished(I use the term "fished" loosely because flossing isn't my favorite, especially when you can't see the fish) the lower Kenai areas. So crowded and a little frustrating to say the least. Switched over to the Kasilof and had a great time. Will have to try the middle section next year.
-
What part of the Kenai did you fish? Looks like you got into some quality fish!
-
So sad to hear this. I remember Del from the AZOD days when he would make fun of the gaybass fishermen. Always had a great sense of humor.
-
Agree this is the direction we are headed. Going to be interesting when you electronically "use" your tag, it will probably add a geolocation. What if your apple battery dies while in the field? Hope the wardens carry a portable quick charger!

G&F commission voted unanimously to ban trail cams

Yeah maybe you’re right. There was no cwd before the baiting ban and none after. -

Bushnell, cuddeback, browning, stealth cam, etc aren't going to hire lobbyists to get cameras legalized through the legislature? Why wouldn't they go over the commissioners heads? They, and the retail outlets, are now gonna lose a truck load of money on camera sales in AZ. Why doesn't the commission ever have sunset clauses on their decisions? We were told they had to ban baiting due to CWD, yet years later absolutely no CWD has been detected. Shouldn't baiting be reinstated at this point? Let's see what happens with the camera ban in 5 years. If banning cams makes a significant difference in age class and quality of the hunt then keep it. If it makes no difference then sunset the rule and allow them again. -
Ended up with a box of 270 Weatherby from a friend that passed away. Don't have a 270 Weatherby so was about to toss it in the trash. Looks like they are 150 grain partitions. Thought maybe someone here could use it. 14 unfired rounds and 6 fired. Probably about 8 years old. Free to anyone in Flagstaff or I'll ship it if you cover the cost. FREE
-
Supposed to ship it ground ammo etc. But priority mail small box is $9

I wonder how Lees Ferry Anglers feels about this. I think the brown trout is the best thing that's happened to Lees Ferry in 40 years! They are getting really big whereas the rainbows max out at around 16-18".

Why complain on CWT? Take the time to write an email to each of the commissioners. They will help you, as this isn't the first time this has happened. https://www.azgfd.com/agency/commission/members/

Bought 5 bottles at once. She even called it in to her manager for approval. Had been to reeders, ruffs, and cal ranch. Stopped by SW on way home and got lucky. Burning lots of powder since both my kids got muzzys for Christmas. Those bottles don’t last long...
-
Don't hate me. But Sportsmans Warehouse Flagstaff had 5 bottles sitting out about 3 weeks ago. I bought all 5. Then a few days later they had 5 more! Didn't buy those but they didn't last long. Already used most of 1 before and during the HAM hunt, kinda nervous about letting any go!
